Tumblr Blaze vs. Twitter Boost

Thank you to everyone who replied to my question about Tumblr Blaze recently! Lots of intriguing stuff. At the community's suggestion, I posted and Blazed a cat video, which seems to be the consensus Best Blaze Content. And out of curiosity, I boosted the same cat video over on Twitter to see not just which one performed better, but which one made me "feel" better as a Poster.

The results will probably not surprise you (here)! But if you care to read about it, check out this post over on my free newsletter STRANGE WORK. And now I will Blaze this post as well to close the magic social media circle, and also will stop throwing money around and buy food for my family or something.

As a recent returnee to Tumblr I am curious what current active folks think of Tumblr Blaze. It reminds me somewhat of pinned posts from days of yore, but I like the general idea. If I’m seeing ads or ad-like units I’d rather see stuff from civilian Tumblr users as opposed to commercial marketing, though of course that is a blurry line these days. What do people think of Tumblr Blaze, both in experience and in principle?
