“perfect then,” he mused, smiling over at christian as if it was the easiest thing in the world, because in truth it felt like it. “hmm, i don’t really believe in it so we can take a dip no problem.” a blush spread on his features as christian plopped down and spread his arms, shaking his head as his friend made him all giddy. “if you leave then i’d cry and we both don’t want to be crying messes chris.” he assured, before resting his head on the other’s chest as he snuggled up to the man. it felt entirely perfect to lie on top of christian, having his friend let him do things like this felt right, and he didn’t want to change their dynamic. he was the peace that he’d never known and christian just knew how to work around the kinks and baggage that jinsoul came with. “now tell me about your day, and have you been working out, cause i can feel muscle under this shirt.” he said face all red.

“ touché, ” christian chuckles, as he cuddles his friend in his arms. it’s calming to be able to do things like this but without having romantic connotations. christian finds it to be liberating, in fact. “ well, “ he starts, “ my day was alright. i did my morning jog as usual, and i saw a big boxer dog. kinda want a dog like that in the future, but i have to get the money first. that’d be a dream... just me on the road with my boxer in the front seat. oh ! then i went to the gym, so yes, i have been ‘working out.’ good catch, jinsoul.  uh, then after that i had lunch and showered and now i’m here, so. ” he gives a shrug. “ how about you, rich kid? how was your day today ? ”

“  your hole is adhd... ”  christian repeats, his eyebrows furrowing together. there’s no way this kid is like.... for real right ? like, someone gave birth to this? he lets out a sigh, but an amused smile shines through it. “ you know, i might take you up on that because i have a feeling i’d prefer to hear you moan than deal with the ridiculous shit that comes out of your mouth. ” christian tilts his head, “ treats ? that’s super vague i’m gonna need you to clarify. and also, why are we buying me treats...? ”

bella couldn’t help but visibly flench as christian’s tone came out harsh, his words cutting into her like the sharpest knife he could find. she deserved it, in all honesty. it was her own fault for not prioritizing her friends better when she was with eddie. all her time revolved around him and the music they created. she did her best to pull herself away from that world and focus on her friends, yuna being one that she never had a problem with making time for. it wasn’t fair, however, to the ones she started to lose her grip on, and christian was one of them. his friendship was important to her, and she wasn’t there for him when she should have been. it seemed everyone thought bella was this sweet and helpful person, always putting others before herself, but christian was living proof that she had her flaws just as much as the next person. “christian, please…” her voice was barely above a whisper as her eyes began to gloss over with the fresh tears that threatened to leak out once more. her eyes were already swollen and puffy from crying about yuna, and she didn’t want any pity or sympthay from the boy simply because of what she’s been going through. she didn’t deserve it anyways. “i know you’re upset with me, and maybe even hate me, but…you have to know that i never meant to hurt you the way i did. do you really think i deserve to be treated this harshly? won’t you please just hear me out and apologize for hurting our friendship?” her dark hues peered up into his, almost begging him to give her one more chance to make things right between them. 

christian will admit that seeing someone cry in front of him was one of his weaknesses, and it usually caused him to cave. it was no different with bella. he wants to turn her away, but he just cant. christian emits a sigh, “ fine. fine. you can come inside and i guess we can talk. ” though there’s a spiteful voice in the back of his head telling him that she was never around when he needed to ‘ talk. ‘ he steps away, opening the door a bit more so she could enter his apartment. “ feel free to uhm, sit by the table over there and we’ll ... yeah. “ he suggests, with a hint of defeat. she seemed distraught, and christian can tell she (  probably ) means it when she says she’s sorry. ...and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t miss talking to her. the closeness they used to share before she ditched him for music was something he really enjoyed before it was gone. and hell, if he doesn’t have a lot of shit to tell her now. if somehow this friendship could be revived, they’d have a lot of catching up to do. “ i’m gonna be honest. i don’t know if this is a good idea. i mean, i’m trying super hard to move on from my past and having you around kinda feels like that’s gonna mess everything up. you know what i mean ? ”

Empty, that was the only word that ever passed through the threshold of his mind, unspoken but still present as he wandered through his home. No matter how much he bought to fill up the spaces where it was devoid of life and color, everything felt empty. Maybe it was a projection of his inner self, a black hole in the shape of a man having been devoid of many things throughout his life and the one source of life turned out to be dim and sullied a mere imitation of what he once thought true. The only times his home was ever brought to life was when he had people over, the energy that charged his home when a friend came over gave new light to the monster that he called a home, and luckily he had someone that almost mirrored him in some ways. Christian was more subtle and quiet in comparison to a lot of the people he had met, but he still cherished the man. “Christian, could just please stay and cuddle for a bit, I don’t really wanna do anything just tell me about your day and maybe I can order food for us, how does that sound? Unless you’d rather get in the pool.”

“ hey, i’d love to cuddle and eat. ” christian responds to his friend. “ and i’m always up for a swim. we could go after we’re done eating. might have to wait a few minutes if you believe the cramps thing. ” christian plops himself down onto the other’s couch, spreading his arms open, “ bring it in, jinsoul ! if i don’t get cuddled right now i’m going home. and crying. ” he’s joking, signature grin appearing on his lips. “ and i’ll tell you all about my day. but you have to lay on my chest first. ” christian thought of jinsoul like a puppy that got kicked a little too hard. but with the right patience and care, he’d take care of him until he was ready to grow into a more confident version of himself. if he had to shower him in all the platonic love he could muster, so be it !

“ hey ! i’m - i’m sorry, uh, is this your chevy ? ” christian asks the stranger coming out to the parking lot. “ uh, i, uh.... have to tell you that i think it’s really nice ! i have a ‘67 over there-- ” the brunette points eagerly to his car parked a few spots over. “ can i ask where you got it ? jeez, the paint job is super nice. i can tell you really take care of it. my car is like my baby so, uh, i can relate. ” christian being a rambly, stuttering mess is new but that’s what happens when a car is involved. and it didn’t hurt that the owner of said vehicle was attractive. it wouldn’t hurt to make friends since he’s new to town, right ? “ oh ! my name is uh, christian by the way. ” he extends his hand out politely, hoping for a shake in return. shit. was he doing this right?

“honestly, having a sixth sense sounds way cooler than how i actually found out about this place,” she chuckles softly before grabbing her camera equipment out of his car and soon looking around to see where would be the best place to set up everything to get the best photos. she figured she wouldn’t really be able to see until the night sky went completely black and the stars began to glisten all around them. for now she sat evey thing upon the grassy ground below them before turning back to the boy and smiling at how stupidly attractive he looked just leaning against his car the way he did. “isn’t it beautiful, though? nothing but this wide open space where no city lights can reach us,” she takes one last look at the landscape in front of them, noticing how it was starting to fill with flowers beginning to bloom for the beautiful spring time. it makes her whip out her much smaller camera and steal a few photos before she turns back to christian and steals a quick candid photo of himself. “i truly believe you can never take a bad photo,” she teases before walking up to him and letting herself lean against him as she shows him the photo. 

“ it is. i think i might just have to come here and have this place all to myself. seems like a good way to escape from my problems. ” he replies w a light chuckle. he wasn’t really the type of person to be into nature but damn. they might be onto something when they say nature can heal someone. christian’s lost in the scenery until he hears the camera’s shutter go off when sunni takes a picture of him. she’s always doing that so maybe he shouldn’t be surprised at this point but he always is. he grins stupidly at her compliment, “ maybe you’re just making me look good. ” he tilts his head as she shows him the photo. christian let’s out a low whistle, “ you’re talented, sunni. i’d ask you to take my wedding photos but... ” he laughs sarcastically, biting his lip, “ we know how i feel about that. ” a hand runs through his hair and he looks back to the sky. “ what did you say you wanted to take a picture of ? aside from my extremely amazing beautiful face ? ” he’s teasing, giving her a small nudge. although, he has to admit he is not bad-looking. “ hey, do you think i should start getting paid for doing this photography-uber gig ? or is sleeping with me considered payment ? ” not that he actually cares about being paid. anything to help out.

Luna order another shot needed more in her system if she was going to open up to someone. She was use to just blowing over it and saying she was fine. Or saying things people wanted to hear and not how she really felt. “It’s just my fiances birthday…or ex fiance?” A half chuckle left her lips. “What do you call a fiance that died?” Luna downed the shot as soon as the bartender gave to her. If it had been any other day she would be flirting with someone in the bar or not even here. But, Ellie’s birthday was hitting her hard. Harder than she ever thought it would. “Luna..so what, i vent then you vent?” The girl sighed. “Believe it or not..normally i’m not like this.”

he nodded gently, demonstrating that he was listening & holding on to every word with sympathy. “ i’m sorry about your fiance. but as cliche as it sounds... i think people who pass away still hang around us to make sure we’re doing alright. sometimes i can feel my mother’s love when i’m alone and thinking about her. she passed away when i was five. ” wow. it’s been a minute since he’s thought of her. “ your love is definitely always thinking of you, just like you’re thinking of them, dont worry. ” he pressed his lips into a line as he thought about what he could tell her. “ uh, well, i moved here to forget about my ex. he was the best person i’ve ever met, and i thought.......i guess i thought he felt the same way about me. but he left me for someone who i assume, or i--i hope, is the best person in the world to him. ” he attempts to clear his throat, but a knot is starting to form there and he feels his eyes begin to water. god did it hurt to say that out loud. “ but we’ll be alright. you and me. so let’s... let’s not worry about everything too much, yeah ? ” christian mumbles weakly, reaching for his glass and chugging down whatever was left of it. he wishes he could believe that.

“ hey, you little bastard ! “ christian calls to the gremlin he knows as taeil ( whom was currently wrapped up in his jacket in the backseat of his car ) and rapped his knuckles against the glass of the window. “ you better wake up ‘cause we’re heading to get breakfast, ” the boy warns with a small grin on his face.  he makes his way to the front seat, unlocking the car with his own set of keys before sitting. taeil was an interesting character to say the least, but christian had taken a liking to him ever since they met again in palm beach. taeil’s a bit more on the grumpy, smoking twenty packs a day side of things, and christian is more on the smiling 24/7 and having morals side of things, but it works out funnily enough. not to mention the rush he gets out of teasing the guy is priceless. he starts up the engine, calling out to his friend in the back, “ have a nice sleep, trashboy  ? ”

@christiavn // bella practically had to be physically pushed out of the hospital to head home and clean up after spending the night and keeping an eye on yuna. her apartment was the last place she wanted to be, as it was one she shared with her now unconscious best friend. it almost felt wrong to be back here without the other, therefor she tried her best to take a quick shower and change into cleaner clothes, grabbing anything extra and soon heading back out. her phone was blowing up with texts as she recently messaged all those who she cared about deeply, wanting to remind them how much she cared for them and appreciated them. almost losing yuna made her realize that those she loved could truly be taken away in a flash, and she had to take the time to talk to each and ever one. however, when she scrolled through her contacts and saw his name, her heart dropped into the pit of her stomach. no, she couldn’t simply send him a text. it had to be done in person. texting joon and letting him know she’d be back a little later, bella decided to make a quick pit stop by an old friends home, soon placing a few knocks upon his door before soft puffy eyes glanced at the familiar face, afraid that he just might slam the door back in her face, “hey stranger. i, um…h-how are you?”

christian spent most of his days in his apartment sprawled out in the couch in a nap or drinking and watching corny reality tv as means of escape. he was much more of a go-out type of person than stay-in. it was the knock at the door that startled him, causing him to jolt abruptly in his sleep and the empty beer can to fall out of his hand. epitome of dad energy. he rubbed his face to get rid of the sleep, and dragged his feet towards the door, “ wha-- what do you ...” his voice trailed off immediately upon seeing who was behind it. after recovering from initial shock, his eyebrows furrow together in confusion and anger. “ why are you here ? ” he barks, his voice unusually sharp. this was absolutely fuckin’ unbelievable. why is it that she thinks she can show up in his life when its convenient for her ? christian’s jaw clenches as he stands there defensively, and he contemplates shutting the door and walking off back to his couch.  “ i’m not... i’m not talking to you. i’m not doing this. ” he scoffs, a bit of uneasy laughter escaping his lips as he shakes his head. if you’re gonna leave christian’s life, it’s better that it stays that way. even just looking at her brings back those painful feelings of abandonment and lonliness. fuck.

“ ah, where the hell are you dragging me now ? ” christian groans playfully. he parks the impala at her requested vague location. it appeared to be a field of grass somewhere out of town that he never knew existed. it was pretty, though-- especially now that the sun was already starting to set. he had to admit, she knew how to pick them. christian gets out of the car, shutting the door behind him and leaning against the hood of his beloved vehicle. he crosses his arms, “ how do you even know about these places ? is it a photographer thing? like a sixth sense ? ” he looks over at his friend, a smile starting to play onto his face. there was something about sunni’s presence that welcomed him. she catered a certain warm energy that fostered him into happiness. he was comfortable with her, and sure they messed around, but he didn’t want to develop it into anything further. it was perfect the way it was and anything more would ruin that.

Luna was starting to wonder if she should have left the house at all today. She was wondering if she should have just stayed home in bed. She was having a massive break down in a bar which she’d rather be doing in bed. But, it was too late. She couldn’t turn back time. She was too much in her own head to notice the man next to her at first. It wasn’t until his question that she turned towards him. “Sorry..”She muttered. “I didn’t mean to bother you with my  mess.” Honestly she felt weird about sobbing in the bar. “Just..one of those days were you question what’s the point.” She wasn’t use to opening up and especially with someone she didn’t know.  

“ you don’t have to apologize . ” christian replied, giving a small shake of his head. “ we all have days like this you know ? it’s normal. ” he clears his throat a little, “ i’m sorry you’re having a rough time. you can continue to talk about it, if you want. i think i’m a decent listener, if not an advice giver..er.. ” christian’s never been the type to leave someone hanging. stranger or best friend. it didn't matter.  “ i’m christian. and if you want, i could uhm. i could tell you a few things about myself when you’re done telling me what’s wrong. that way you don’t have to feel alone. ”
