Looking for a new place has definitely been an adventure. “Maybe I should become a realtor when this whole SHIELD thing doesn't work out for me.”

Amir glanced up as the other man walked in, raising an eyebrow as if to say something. However, he ended up snorting when the man went off on a tangent, ordering for both of them. Once they had their drinks, Amir turned back to him and began, “Tell me, Agent Carter, what did you think was going to happen?” Amir smirked but then rolled his eyes. “She wouldn’t have done it. She doesn’t have it in her.” Leaning back, his amused expression slowly returned. “Where’s the babynapper then? SHIELD? She's honestly an idiot. She’s going to have Asgard on her ass now.”

Charles merely rolled his eyes but he took a drink in his hand and took a sip of it, before continuing. "You know, I'd expect her to try and kidnap her own kid, like a normal person would," he mused with a shrug. He raised his brow when their conversation moved to Klara and Amir's reaction to that. "You know, if I had Odinson at my heel willing to do anything for me, I wouldn't bother doing my own dirty work either," he countered before nodding in answer to his other question. "Yeah but I've heard she's already being released so we'll see where it goes," Charles said, swirling the liquid in his glass. "Whatever you're doing next, don't count on me. It's already been risky enough bringing you there, I need to lay low for a while."

After the metaphorical dust had settled and Charles was relieved from his duty of helping around as best as he could, he managed to find Amir in the bar they'd agreed upon before the party. "Well, fuck," he mused as he took a seat next to the other man. "I had no idea that bitch was crazy enough to try and kidnap a baby in the middle of an Avengers party. That ex of yours is even crazier, too. We almost had a body to clean up." @theenchvnter

"This artist is quite good, aren't they?" Charles nodded at the stage, a fond smile on his face. It felt good to get out of his office once in a while and Pride celebrations were always a good reason to go out.
