Kanata color ideas. I like the idea of him having muted/faded colors as an Ether Elf specifically in a setting that's lacking in Ether, making his overall constitution weak. Unless he can get his hands on enough Ether... but how's anyone supposed to find that these days?

Also I was thinking more about Ether Elves in this setting… and I imagine some of them have tried to kill other Ether Elves in an effort to "have less Ether in the world consumed by other ether elves". So I've decided Kanata was nearly killed by someone like that & that's where he lost his arm.

Ether Elves and Ether Dragons are the only OCVerse races I have that subsist off Ether. Ether is also used for magic. Ether Dragons are new to this story (Masqueraiders). But it's written that Ether Dragons disappeared hundreds of years ago, taking vast amounts of Ether with them…

i wanted to wait til i had my 0th session (session 0.5) of fabula ultima to post this lil guy… and that happened today! it was very fun! Their name's Fiorello and they're a wanderer who can make pacts with spirits (wayfarer/arcanist).

i've never done any sorta tabletop thing so i was a lil scaredt in the buildup, but these were My Friends i was fabula-ing with so it was very nice :]

So this guy's name is Osian! Or is it? Well it is, but it isn't.

He's taken on a different name while he's out to conceal his identity. He's a man trained in strategy and diplomacy, but he dreams of helping the people of the kingdom more directly during a time of war and strife. The kingdom's in the middle of a war, then? WELL NO!! NOT REALLY!! But they're lending a bunch of money and some soldiers to another nation, leading to a rise in banditry and such. BUT WHYYY?!? well he'll have to figure that out one day.

Anyway to that end, he strikes out with his two retainers/servants to try and find a famous or infamous mercenary group and join them in their efforts.

"dear god devin. is he a prince?" heh. well😏lets jurst say...

I don't know... Either a prince or nobleman.

If he ends up being a nobleman, then his dad is a strategist for the kingdom who was sent off to The War, and that was the last straw to make him leave and try to DO something directly.

If he ends up being a prince, then he had some argument with his father about how their money & soldiers are being given up to the other nation. If his father's not gonna stop, then he at least wants to do something to help their people more directly. And eventually storms off after some heated argument.

I dont know which to choose... i like both...

As a character himself, he's more on the reserved side, but not really passive. It takes him a bit to put his foot down, but when he does, it's usually in drastic measures. As shown by him leaving wherever he's living to "make a more direct difference" with his two bestiiies. He's a bit naive, but he's got the spirit. Plus he's not a complete fish out of water in terms of how the world works.

He's prideful in his abilities as a budding strategist, due to his dad/teacher depending on the upbringing i choose for him. He's a bit of a nerd. A very cute nerd... Prince Nerd? Nobleman Nerd? im clutching my head trying to not make another prince but when i think about having another beautiful black prince in my arsenal i start doing cartwheels.

learning to be less intimidated by outfit details (like the gold shapes on seliph's gloves/boots/tunic), viewing them as simpler shapes that i can surmount instead of scary shapes. this was the main focus.
