Best way to start a campaign? Conspire with a mutual friend who's just as much of a WoW nerd as you and have him join the first session as a secret evil character and have him betray the party and set them on a path of framed fugitives on the run from the government.

Gamers if you need to figure out a way to write your ex fiance's character out of your DnD game just feed them to a false hydra. It's a good way to have your PCs forget the person exists and will feel very cathartic once you do.
