October 31, 1912 - Outskirts of the Weaver Property.
John's steps echo through the woods, leaves crushing under his feet, the wind gently brushing against his skin. He sighs, looking up at the red sky, admiring the sundown.
Why didn't he leave earlier? The kids are in deep in her delusions, Hell! She convinced the priest to take part in this! It's too late now, and...she's pregnant.
John stops at the end of the forest, frowning as he sees fog forming along the road. Just on the road.
"...There's something wrong...something very wrong..." He mumbles to himself, it's not that he believed Mary with the whole creature thing, but...he's seen some shit lately.
"DAD!" John turns around, watching as Lillian, his youngest and only daughter, runs over on his direction, her long hair almost tangling in the branches "The baby's coming!" She smiles and holds his shirt's sleeves, panting slightly.
"What?" His face goes pale, he holds Lillian's hand, both hurrying deeper into homestead, just as the night starts to rise, the darkest part of the sky just behind their home.
October 31, 2014 - Road to Pine Creek Summer camp.
"Ugh, i can't believe you convinced me to come along" Harper crosses her arms, almost rolling her eyes as the group walks along the trail.
"Oh, Come on! This is better than going to a dumb party or whatever." Alexander smirks, nudging the redhead by his side "right Sam?"
Sam purses his lips, turning away from his conversation with Emma to face him, she leans forward, also looking over at him.
"Why come here, anyways? It's just a gated place with lots of trees" Emma smiles anxiously, gesticulating to their surroundings.
"They're obsessed with the stories, Em." Harper scoffs, throwing her black hair back with a pout. "People going missing and shit".
"It's not just going missing" Duncan chuckles, turning away from Travis as he closes the camera cover. "For more than a hundred year, on this very night, no one can come in or out of Mount Todd."
"8 people were there the first time it happened: the family of 5 that lived in the homestead, 2 of the Edwards on their old house and Pastor James McAlroy on the old church" Travis smiles widely, turning to walk backwards "They were never seen again~" He wiggles his fingers at them, earning a concerned look from Emma and a frown from Harper. Alexander was matching Travis' stupid little smile.
"So...we're going there to get a video of it...?" Sam mutters loud enough for the group to hear, his lips twitching into a forced smile as Travis nods vigorously at him "ah...fun..." He sarcastically exclaims, exchanging glances with Emma and Harper as Travis turns to walk normally.
First time including the friends from the start of the game in a writing piece :D
I have decided their names and appearances a long time ago, but it was fun finally including them. A bit of information about them in case anyone is interested:
Friend 1, the skeptical one - Harper Oliveira, she's a very stylish and feminine girl! I would say she's Brazilian, mostly because of the surname. She's the one that normally calls bullshit on the ghost stuff.
Friend 2, the guy - Alexander Delaparte, him and Travis might as well share a single braincell. He's very into the ghost and legends stuff, in AUs that Travis and Duncan fight, he was befriended by Duncan as a replacement for Travis.
Friend 3, the scared one - Emma Ferrighetto, the mom of the group. She doesn't really believe the ghosts and the stories, but has a big imagination, so she gets kinda scared by it. Normally is the closest to Sam in the friend Group.
About the AU: I did make a little meme for new years with this AU but didn't explain it. lol
My idea with this is to make a homage to other AUs in the fandom (mostly @vinehasnohopeleft and @mossyscavern 's AUs), while pulling this from my own and using a game that became my favorite last year. (It was made in my main language but it does have a great English dub, it's "Enigma of Fear" if anyone is interested)
There is time travel. Sort of. It's hard to explain, but all you need to know is that the two events from this skit are happening at the same time. :)
