隧道有一種連結過去和未來的意義。這個感知往往發生在白天開車經過國道隧道,因為隧道內外環境氣壓的急遽轉變,伴隨著「呼!」的一聲進入隧道,畫面一瞬轉黑,隧道隨即燃起白晝裡的夜燈,猶如身在不同的世界。也許不只是連結過去和未來。隧道以現實世界的途徑,帶領我們進入短暫的超現實,出了隧道,我們就自動從夢中醒來。

在工業文明下的社會,人們在透明亮麗的玻璃塔內生活工作,也習慣在室內養著一只盆栽,強迫它脫離原本生長的土地,與人類共同承受一種冷漠的、非自然的價值觀內,不禁懷疑植物是否真能抵抗如此摧殘?有了這種衝突的罪惡感,這件吊掛在玻璃塔的牆上畫,並不是「去畫」植物的該有樣貌,因為生命是無法被模擬、再現的,為了適應這片水泥鋼筋叢林,呈現的就是這堆凌亂的電線和物件組合,以表示對自然生命的崇高敬意。
