Hey. I’m retconning Praxia’s involvement in the Faceless event and tentatively placing RP with her at the back of the figurative queue my characters are lined up in. I have some personal issues with the Faceless storyline that I’d rather hold my tongue over for the time being as far as publicly posting my feelings is concerned - if you want an idea of how I feel, others have already expressed my feelings in droves. It’s possible to piece it all together.

I’ll still RP with people involved in the event should someone approach me or wish to start an (unrelated!) roleplay of some sort between our characters, but please mind and respect my decision to withdraw my character from any involvement in it. If you want to keep up with my RP and whereabouts in-game, you can find my worgen’s blog here.

I’ll still be running around out of character and PvPing on Elf, but don’t expect to see me around much. I’ll usually be playing Acquaintance or Sruti on the Alliance if you want to shoot me a message in-game.

What’s this about an after party? Every year once the run is done, we release the Gnomes take a trip across the ocean attempt to give a lick to whoever is sitting on the throne in Orgrimmar! It’s a bit of a challenge, and results in a few visits to the spirit healer, but it’s an exciting and silly challenge at the end What’s this about small change?

We asked guild members and other participants to donate based upon the number of Gnomes who showed up, in small change amounts. For example, people would pledge that for every Gnome that attended they would donate a penny, nickle, or dime. Some people now donate a strict fund, but some people still donate this way, and it’s fun to see just how many Gnomes we have! A few hours after the run, I’ll let you know how many Gnomes and escorts ran with us, and post it online. You can see the breakdown of the small change pledge on our blogs! You don’t have to donate if you participate, but you’re free to donate if you’d like! The charity of choice this year is yet again the Touhy Vaccine which has made progress since last year and is starting human clinical trials. Where can I donate? We have a fundraising page with the Cleveland Clinic. We’ve found them to be top notch to use every year! During the run we will turn off guild chat for everyone but officers. This isn’t a punishment(sometimes people think it is!). Instead this is the best way to let everyone see important messages so everyone doesn’t get lost. /gnomerun is a place for everyone to chat the whole day and especially during the run! Especially if a lot of people fall off the tram, or get eaten by wolves, and we need to pause somewhere. We would like to discourage the act of using /y or /s to communicate 

with so many of us, as it will reduce the quality of your run, and cause lag or server stability issues. /gnomerun is the best choice, or whispering people of your choice. As soon as the run is over, we officers will turn back on guild chat, and you will be able to chat in both /g and /gnomerun to your heart’s content!

The sands of Uldum stretch for countless miles westward from the endless shoreline, bathing the earth beneath its wheat-colored waves in aimless morning gold. There is neither molehill nor mountain in the distance to cast shadows over the sandy coastline in the dawning hour; there is only the ocean, deep and blue, and then the great sun beyond it creeping above the horizon with slivers of brilliant rising light. The foremost desert dunes in the west rise high above the swell of the waves, their rounded peaks carved by the ebb and flow of the tides – the star-kissed sky above them brightens faintly each passing moment with the telling glow of the coming morning, and as the morning comes, so does the woman from the east.

Conduit.

In the wake of the whispers, this is one of few words that comes to Praxia’s mind and sticks - among the others, in the author’s excited, jumbled haze of thoughts, linger just a few more. She was writing before the whispers came, but the sudden beckoning turned a dial in her head and turned her to the journal locked in the vault. The words replay endlessly in the woman’s mind as she obtains the book and the ink - a tome and a vial that have been locked away for decades in dark and dust - and in her mind they chase each other in an endless, maddening cycle.

All the while, she remembers the whispers.

Tribute.

Crimson letters flow across the sheet of parchment in the journal open before the trembling woman, their rhythm unwavering as they spell out the same four words in ink that glows ethereal beneath the flickering candlelight.

Speaker.

The words spill from quivering lips with wild enthusiasm, but Praxia has no audience; the curtains are drawn, holding out the dwindling evening light so shadows of fire may dance across the darkened floor.

“Voice.”

The whispers in Praxia’s mind echo still. She lifts her quill from the parchment very suddenly and dips it into her inkwell, nearly knocking the receptacle off her writing desk as she goes. When the tip of the pen meets the journal’s page again, the ink bleeds sanguine through the yellowed parchment; the letters she draws become jagged and lopsided and unclear; she speaks not in Thalassian now, but in tongues.

The apartment stinks of blood.

{We decided it would be best to make a FAQ sheet for those of you who may have just stumbled upon this event or would like to see all the helpful information we can provide in one place. Please see below for your knowledge! ||Is this a Horde only event?|| No! In fact, this is an event that spans Azeroth and all of its inhabitants. If you are living (or unliving as the case may be) you can join in! ||What do we need to do to get involved?|| If we’ve missed you in the first round of whispers, please let us know via a personal or anonymous message with your tumblr handle in the message! We are not all knowing and some people will unintentionally slip through the cracks. We’re here to assist, but we need to know you want to be involved! ||Where is this taking place? Is this an in-game only event?|| While there will undoubtedly be things that occur in game, having a subscription to WoW is not a requirement to get involved. 5)How well does your character handle the cold?

Praxia hates, hates, hates cold weather - you’re much more likely to find her traversing the hot, sandy desert expanses of Uldum than playing out in the winter snow. She is used to warmer weather and has been exposed very little to the cold, so perhaps she’s just not used to it.
