The adaptation of the popular video game was a smash hit in theaters, and that translated well on the streaming charts, too.
This article just shows you how out of touch with actors and Hollywood is with your normal person. Did any middle class citizen, with kids, honestly think A Minecraft Movie would not be profitable? All my son and his friends want to do it play Minecraft, we have to monitor his amount of play very closely. Does anyone actually consider Rotten Tomatoesâ ratings anymore?
Do you know how many Minecraft shirts I have purchased at Good Will? Every time we go to the library it either a Minecraft book or something related to superheroes.
Direct Quotes:
Before it hit theaters in early April, few people believed A Minecraft Movie could be profitable.
Critics were even less impressed, as A Minecraft Movie debuted with mixed reviews, leading to a "rotten" 53% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, none of those things mattered because to say A Minecraft Movie exceeded expectations is an understatement. After nearing $1 billion at the box office, A Minecraft Movie is now a major global hit on streaming, too, FlixPatrol reveals.
The only countries where A Minecraft Movie didn't reach No. 1 were the Netherlands and Sweden. In the U.S., A Minecraft Movie debuted strongly at the top of the charts.
A Minecraft Movie was a true box office hit, and currently the highest-grossing film from Hollywood. Although it missed the $1 billion mark, the adventure movie grossed $946.8 million worldwide (via The Numbers) against a budget of $150 million. This was a huge success for Warner Bros.
Since its debut with 53% from the critics, the fantasy adventure's critics' score further fell to 48%. However, it received a more than thrilling response from moviegoers. A Minecraft Movie enjoys an 85% approval on the Popcornmeter, a score that explains the film's popularity.
It takes light a single day to travel 16 billion miles. The Voyager 1 probe will need a little longer, just 49 years.
We didnât know there was volcanic activity on a moon of Jupiter until 1979 and discovered three new moons orbiting Saturn in 1980 but the âBig Bang Theoryâ was widely accepted as science in the mid-70s? I find it fascinating that we hear about new discoveries all the time, showing we know very little of the universe, but there is no possible way this was all made by design?
Direct Quotes:
Voyager 1, which launched in 1977 and explored Jupiter, Saturn and points beyond, will reach a light-day milestone in November 2026 when it becomes the first craft to travel 16.1 billion miles from Earth.
Distances in space are so vast, astronomers use the speed of light, 186,282 miles per second, to measure them. A light-day is the 16.1 billion miles traveled by light waves and radio signals in 24 hours. A light-year is nearly 6 trillion miles.
By comparison, our solar system is relatively small, averaging about 3.7 billion miles from our sun to Pluto.
In flybys, the spacecraft extensively photographed Jupiter in 1979 and Saturn in 1980. It discovered volcanic activity on Io, a moon of Jupiter, and three new moons orbiting Saturn. It also found intricate structures in the ice shapes of Saturnâs rings.
Voyager 1's distance makes the craft difficult to control. A radio signal takes one day to send and another day for a response to be received.
How arrogant is it to sit on that little red dot and think all of this started from subatomic particles? Â The article says that this discovery âfundamentally change our understanding of cosmic structureâ and âstructures of gargantuan size challenge our understanding of the cosmosâ, yet we have completely ruled out intelligent design or any higher power?
Direct Quotes:
As we study the universe more, we have found ourselves to be part of much larger structures, formed by gravitational interactions. We orbit the Sun, the Sun is part of the Milky Way, and the Milky Way is part of the Local Group, which includes several small galaxies as well as Andromeda, of "it may collide with us" fame.
âOur universe is like a giant web, with galaxies lying along filaments and clustering at nodes where gravitational forces pull them together,â University of Hawai'i at Manoa astronomer R. Brent Tully explained in a statement. âJust as water flows within watersheds, galaxies flow within cosmic basins of attraction. The discovery of these larger basins could fundamentally change our understanding of cosmic structure.â
According to the team's simulations, there is a 60 percent chance that our own Milky Way is in fact not in Laniakea, but in the Shapley concentration.
Simply put, structures of gargantuan size challenge our understanding of the cosmos.

What an amazing article written by CCN. It almost tells the whole truth! Democrats stuck their heads in the sand a pretended this didnât happen, now a full on pardon for Hunter? Maybe some shady stuff did happen overseas that the Bidenâs made millions off of.
Direct Quotes:
Devon Archer told the House Oversight Committee on Monday that his former business partner, Hunter Biden, was selling the âillusionâ of access to his father, according to a source familiar with the closed-door interview
After the interview concluded, a second source told CNN that Archer did affirm to the committee that Hunter Biden was selling the âillusionâ of access to his father, but later clarified that the presidentâs son was actually selling the illusion of access to Washington, DC, and knowledge of how it worked.
Rep. Dan Goldman, a Democrat on the panel who sat through the portion of Archerâs interview where he was questioned by Republicans, also said there was a lack of evidence connecting the president to his sonâs foreign dealings. Goldman said Archer told the panel that Hunter Biden did put his father on speaker phone in the presence of business partners, but that business was never discussed.
Goldman told reporters during a break in the hearing that Archer later said that Hunter Biden putting his father on speaker phone with business associates was âpart of the daily conversationsâ between father and son, adding, âThe witness was very consistent that none of those conversations ever had to do with any business dealings or transactions.â
Goldman said that it is âkind of a preposterous premise to think that a father should not say hello to the people that a son is at dinner with and that is literally all the evidence is.â
Goldman contended that President Bidenâs phone conversations were not conflicts of interest because it âwas not done in furtherance ofâ Hunter Bidenâs business interests.
Speaking to CNN in recent weeks, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy signaled that Republicans have yet to verify the most salacious allegations against Joe Biden, namely that as vice president he engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national in order to benefit his sonâs career, an allegation the White House furiously denies.
The move prompted immediate speculation among some Republicans that the Biden administration was attempting to prevent Archer from answering questions about Hunter Biden before the GOP-led committee, though in a court filing, the government explicitly requested that Archerâs sentence begin after he completes his congressional testimony.
After a drone attack in Jordan killed 3 U.S. troops, the little-discussed Tower 22 has become the focus of international attention.
Has anyone been held accountable for this attack? What a sad article from the AP.

This is a CNN article that confirms that Kamala Harris supported taxpayer funded, sex changes for âdetained immigrants and federal prisonersâ.

This is a CNN article that confirms that Kamala Harris supported taxpayer funded, sex changes for âdetained immigrants and federal prisonersâ. I respect that her âvaluesâ have not changed but you have to then explain why your positions on policies have changed so drastically.
Direct Quotes:
As Kamala Harris pivots to the political center in her campaign for president, a 2019 questionnaire from a leading civil rights organization spotlights her past support for left-wing causes such as taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries for detained immigrants and federal prisoners.
In an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire then-Sen. Harris ïŹlled out as a candidate for president in 2020, she also expressed support for decriminalizing federal drug possession for personal use, and for sweeping reductions to Immigration and Custom Enforcement operations, including drastic cuts in ICE funding and an open-ended pledge to âendâ immigration detention.
Harris has acknowledged that some of her stances have evolved over time but that she holds core beliefs that remain unshakable: âMy values have not changed,â she said in an interview with CNN last month.
During one town hall event in New Hampshire in April 2019, Harris was asked by a voter if she supports adding a âthird genderâ to federal identification cards.
âSure,â Harris answered to a round of applause from the crowd. âI have my entire life and career been an ally and I see the issue of LGBTQ rights as a fundamental civil rights and human rights issue, period,â Harris said.
When asked about criminal justice reform on the questionnaire, she wrote she would end immigration detention facilities (along with private prisons). Harris also said she supported decreasing funding for ICE.
âOur immigrant detention system is out of control, and I believe we must end the unfair incarceration of thousands of individuals, families and children,â Harris wrote. âI was one of the first Senators after President Trump was elected to advocate for a decrease in funding to ICE.â
Harris appears to be citing her efforts in 2017 to oppose increased ICE funding under Trump.
Harris wrote that in 2018 she had introduced the Detention Oversight, Not Expansion (DONE) Act to, âincrease oversight of Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facilities, slash detention by at least 50%, and halt funding for the construction or expansion of new facilities.â
Harris also pledged to end the use of ICE detainers â requests by ICE to local or state law enforcement to hold an individual up to 48 hours beyond their release time so ICE can take them into custody for possible deportation.
However, Harris also backed a policy that turned over undocumented juvenile immigrants to federal authorities if they were arrested for suspected felonies, regardless of conviction.
Harris also wrote that she supported taxpayer funding of gender transition surgeries for detained immigrants and federal prisoners.
Harris was asked if, as president, she would use âexecutive authority to ensure that transgender and non-binary people who rely on the state for medical care â including those in prison and immigration detention â will have access to comprehensive treatment associated with gender transition, including all necessary surgical care.â
Harris replied, âYes.â
âIt is important that transgender individuals who rely on the state for care receive the treatment they need, which includes access to treatment associated with gender transition,â Harris wrote in a reply expanding on her answer. âThatâs why, as Attorney General, I pushed the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to provide gender transition surgery to state inmates,â she wrote.
Harris explained that she supported granting prisoners and detainees access to âsurgical careâ for gender transition. âTransition treatment is a medical necessity, and I will direct all federal agencies responsible for providing essential medical care to deliver transition treatment,â she wrote.
Harris also indicated she supported the decriminalization of all drug possession for personal use.
During her 2019 campaign, Harris admitted to smoking marijuana in the past in calling for its legalization.

Can a democrat describe that feeling? The feeling to be able to say whatever you want and know it wonât be removed?
Democrats on social media have been spreading a lot of âmisinformationâ about voter fraud in the 2024 election. Any 2024 election deniers should THANK Elon Musk. During the 2020 election you couldnât post ANYTHING. I had posts removed referencing the laptop and questioning the outcome of the 2020 election.
In 2020 it took almost 6 months to find out why cardboard was put up over the windows of ballot counting rooms. We never got answers about ballots under tables, ballots being brought into counting centers in coolers/camera equipment. We were also told, due to Covid, election judges had to be 6ft away from the ballot.
According to the AP there were âfewer than 475 instances of confirmed voter fraudâ in 2020 just in the battleground states. Does that sound like the fairest election in USA history?
Direct Quotes:
the other questioning how Vice President Kamala Harris could have received so many fewer votes in 2024than President Joe Biden in 2020.
CLAIM: President Joe Biden won approximately20million more votes in the 2020 election than Vice President Kamala Harris earned in the 2024race, proving either that  Trump has cheated his way to a second term or that there was widespread fraud four  years ago.
THE FACTS: The claims are unfounded. Votes from Tuesdayâs presidential election are still being counted, so any comparison with previous races would not be accurate. In addition, election officials and agencies monitoring the vote have reported no significant issues with Tuesdayâs election. Claims of widespread fraud in 2020 have been debunked countless times. Both narratives hinge on a supposed 20million vote gap between Harris and Biden.
âAs we have said repeatedly, our election infrastructure has never been more secure and the election community never better prepared to deliver safe, secure, free, and fair elections for the American people,â Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency  Director Jen Easterly
â20MILLION VOTES WERENT COUNTED,â reads one X post. âI KNEW IT TRUMP CHEATED.â
Another X post, which shared a bar graph of presidential election results from 2012-2024, states: âIf these nunbers are accurate, this is indicative of a stolen 2020election. 20million votes just disappeared. In other words there were potentially20million fraudulent votes last cycle.
An exhaustive Associated Press investigation in 2021found fewer than 475instances of confirmed voter fraud across six battleground states â nowhere near the magnitude required to sway the outcome of the presidential election.
The allegations now spreading about fraud in the 2024race echo many baseless claims that emerged four years ago.
A conspiracy theory about aircraft vapour trails takes hold on clear summer mornings.
Iâm not sure how I feel about chemtrails. The fact that they did something similar in the 50âs and 60âs gives me great pause. Maybe Iâve never paid close attention to the sky before but Iâve seen some really weird things recently.
Direct Quotes:
One persistent belief among followers of the theory is that early morning chemtrails encourage greater cloud cover later in the day - but this can be explained by the natural process of convection. This is the result of the sun warming the ground, causing warm air to rise and condense into clouds later in the day, the Met OïŹce says.
Initially, believers claimed sprays containing a toxic metal, barium, were being used to either pacify or reduce populations.
The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) told the BBC it is aware of these chemtrail theories with "no evidential basis".
"The distraction of these false theories detracts from what really matters and from areas that we believe should be further studied," it added.
In the 1950s and 1960s, decades before the conspiracy theories were born, much of Britain was sprayed with airborne  chemicals in a series of secret germ warfare tests. And in 1950, San Francisco was sprayed with a chemical agent from a ship to gauge the effects of a bioweapon attack on a populated area.
I created another email so that I could create another mastodon account. Last time I created 5 posts before my account was entirely removed. This time I think Iâm just going to post the articles. NO COMMENTS. Any other advice?
âQuestioning the outcome of elections is dangerousâ
âQuestioning the outcome of elections is dangerousâ, I think youâre an âElection Denierâ and possibly âinciting violenceâ. I had content removed in 2020 asking questions about pipes busting, coolers, boxes under tables being brought out a 2AM, cardboard being put up over windows, election judges being forced to stand 6 feet away from the ballot & absentee ballots being sent out to everyone in PA in 2020. Must be nice to talk about it, you should thank Elon.
Be an educated voter. I would encourage you to watch the entire âcampaign eventâ. There are a lot of highlights floating around, so watch the entire video to see if they are taken out of context. She has also made very few statements on her specific policies, so itâs important to take every opportunity to find additional information on what she would do as president.
Democrats are ALWAYS given the benefit of the doubt.
Fact check: Harris falsely claims Project 2025 blueprint calls for cutting Social SecurityÂ
Democrats are ALWAYS given the benefit of the doubt. Trump has said NUMOROUS times he is not associated with Project 2025âŠ..yet the media still pins it on him? Where are the fact checkers that said Biden is not for the Green Deal?
Direct Quotes:
The 920-page Project 2025 blueprint was organized by The Heritage Foundation think tank and developed in significant part by people who served in Trumpâs administration; Trump has publicly distanced himself from the initiative, calling unspecified Project 2025 ideas âseriously extreme.â Project 2025âs proposals for right-wing policies and a radical reshaping of the executive branch have become frequent targets of Democratic criticism.
One of Harrisâ claims about Project 2025 is false, while another is at least misleading. The Project 2025 document does not show that Trump intends to cut Social Security; the document barely discusses Social Security at all and does not propose cuts to the program. In addition, contrary to Harrisâ suggestion, Project 2025 does not call to âendâ the Affordable Care Act or eliminate its protections for people with pre-existing conditions. The document does criticize the Affordable Care Act, especially the lawâs expansion of Medicaid, but makes clear it is advocating changes to the law rather than terminating the law entirely.
We wonât render a verdict on Harrisâ claim about Project 2025 calling for cuts to Medicare, though Trump himself has vowed he will not cut even a cent from the health insurance program for seniors and people with disabilities. The Project 2025 document proposes multiple significant changes to Medicare
But contrary to Harrisâ claim that âwhen you readâ the Project 2025 document âyou will seeâ that Trump intends to cut Social Security, the lengthy document includes no call to cut Social Security.
But the document makes no mention of changes to A ordable Care Act protections for people with pre-existing conditions. And its suggestions for changes to the law are clearly not suggestions to get rid of the law entirely.
A clip of Kamala Harris has resurfaced amid claims that she supports riots. Her comments were only about protests. She has decried acts of v
The 574 riots were mostly peaceful? Why should everyone âbewareâ if they are going to remain peaceful? Trump said âpeacefully and patriotically march to the capitalâ and then condoned the violence. Why the double standard?
Direct Quotes:
Though largely peaceful, some of this summer's protests have at times turned violent.
"That's right," Harris replied. "But they're not gonna stop. They're not gonna stop, and this is a movement, I'm telling you."
"They're not gonna stop, and everyone beware, because they're not gonna stop," she added. "They're not gonna stop before Election Day in November, and they're not gonna stop after Election Day."
"Everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they're not going to let up â and they should not. And we should not," she concluded.
Our rating: Partly false
Based on our research, the claim that Kamala Harris said riots will not and should not stop is PARTLY FALSE. It's true that Harris told Stephen Colbert that she believes protests against racism are "not gonna stop," and said that she supports protesters. But that exchange does not discuss riots, and she has condemned the acts of violence and looting that turned some protests into riots.
Be an educated voter, watch the full debate. Anyone who says Trump had an overall good night is in denial. Anyone who says ABC was fair is either lying or didnât watch the debate. If anyone can name 3 memorable moments Kamala had AND tell me why she now supports policies that she was against in 2020 is a genius.
