The Higher Mind or Intuition
Trusting in and surrendering to a higher power, divine arrangements
Trusting that each person has their own path
Able to separate people from behaviors
Able to integrate cause with effect
Does not judge, blame, or hold resentments—against others or self
A blissful state, easing into curiosity and empathy, connectedness
The easiest state to enjoy
Avoiding this state is lack of spirituality, logic-dependency, pessimism
Being stuck in this state is ascension
The higher and lower minds meet here, manifesting as communicable ideas
Cause and effect is utilized here to make sense of the world of duality
Time is perceived linearly here
Seeks to control, make sense, figure out, solve, judge, reason
Needs to “know” things—otherwise confused
The most difficult state to pull away from
Avoiding this state is lack of self-control, instability, wild oscillations
Being stuck in this state is anxiety, unease, indecision, perfectionism
The Lower Mind or Subconscious
Strong desires, anger, resentments, slights, trauma, beliefs reside here
Impulses towards addiction come to fruition here
The most difficult state to fully face
But, more thoroughly facing this state yields a more genuine higher mind
Avoiding this state is averting self-knowledge and self-acceptance
Being stuck in this state is depression, hopelessness, resentment, anger
Alignment is accurately reflecting the higher and lower minds in the conscious mind, via trust and acceptance. I think it’s interesting to overlay this with the Western Chakra system.
