gosh but like we spent hundreds of years looking up at the stars and wondering âis there anybody out thereâ and hoping and guessing and imagining
because we as a species were so lonely and we wanted friends so bad, we wanted to meet other species and we wanted to talk to them...

DRAWWWWW
so much effort
I wanna draw.
I don't know what to draw.
not sure if I'm actually motivated to draw.
where's that gif when I need it
nothing says christmas eve like putting off wrapping presents
I can't decide. keep my long hair (pony tails! long enough to curl! long enough to braid! swishiness! can just brush and go)
or go for super short on the side-pompadour type thing that's bright cotton candy pink (which requires a lot more styling)
decisions decisions

WOW who the fuck does something like that???
there are assholes everwhere on the internet ;) sadly, I've found that in general somehow they think people WANT to hear for their unprompted opinions. I dunno.

WHAT THE HELL, I CANâT BELIEVE SOMEONE DID THAT BECAUSE??? i love your art. i hold your kidjohn so close to my heartâ„
Oh! well that was unintentionally misleading, wasn't it? I apologize. That specific one didn't happen to me, it happened to someone else. I HAVE in the past gotten "why are you wasting your time on fanart", which is in a similar vein of judgemental assholishness :)
sending a message to someone you don't know just to tell them that you don't think their artwork has "artistic merit" makes you a judgmental asshole.
5 at a dead stop due to accident. Will be late. ....may be very late.
Tomorrow 12/6 is the first annual COMIC ARTS LA!!! It will be at Think Tank Gallery from 10-6 and it is completely free! A ton of talented folks will be there. You can find Stu and I at Table 27! I will be selling books, stickers, prints, and a couple of originals! Stop by and say hello!
OH MY GOD CHAOS ATE MEGAN
I'd love to come meet you & Inchells for sketching tomorrow in LA! Will you be bringing tablets or paper? How can I find/recognize you?
THIS IS WHY I SHOULD HAVE A RED LEATHER JACKETSadly that is not the case, and I strongly dislike having my photos online. That being said, we should be easily noticable by having traditional drawing supplies and sketchbooks/paper :) I don't think either one of us is planning on working digitally. otherwise, both Inchells and I are short, she has dark long hair and I have medium brownish long hair (usually in some kind of ponytail, tbh.)(Don't worry about us being hard to spot - people drawing on paper is actually REALLY noticeable, esp. as most people read on their phones and work on computers in coffee shops nowadays.)Also, don't feel like you need to work traditionally because we are! Digital aficiandos are welcome :)Oh, and my real name is Alice, if that helps. Hope to see you there!
My art 2010-2014
wow, this is awesome! definitely inspires me to keep working :)
I motion to replace all reaction images with lackadaisy cats.
Heh. Â Sometimes drawing stupid faces is the only way to make it through the day.
Best expressions.
I imagine the top one as OH MY GOD BREASTS
What keeps this industry alive is creators doing their own work. Once you change a costume or origin enough times, itâs a dead body â youâre just electrocuting it and keeping it sort of shambling on. There is a lot more creator-owned stuff now, and some of it I look at and go, âOh, thatâs his pitch for a TV show. Thatâs his pitch for a movie. Thatâs him saying oh, this kind of thing sells.â I didnât do that. My one piece of advice to people who are saying âI wanna do it, but DC and Marvel pay so wellâŠâ is that in between your big paying gigs, just find time just to do one comic! It doesnât have to be a 6000-page epic! It doesnât have to be Hellboy! Ten years down the road, when youâre scrambling for work or drawing some book you hate, at least you did something when you had fire in your belly thatâs really you.
