Profession: Playwright (and occasional actor) of the Banora Theatrical Troupe
About his plays/acting: The troupe has performed several well-known plays, including LOVELESS. However, the majority of their body of work consists of plays written by Genesis himself. These include: Apocalypse, Redemption, Loss of the Goddess, and Fall from Honor.
Former Profession: Former Captain of the Enix military forces.
Home Life: The city was a welcome change to the life that Genesis had been living and it was more than accepting of his troupe of actors. He rented a loft in the burrow of Gaia with Sephiroth and has lived there ever since. Recently, an old friend of his came to the city seeking a place to stay. He welcomed Angeal with open arms and the three are currently sharing his loft.
Background: Genesis grew up in Banora, a small farming community most known for its harvest of ‘dumbapples’ also known as the Banora white. The son of the Rhapsodos family, despite his love for the Banora white, did not want to spend the rest of his life on the farm. He found a friend in one of the farmhands, Angeal, a friendship that would change his life. It was at the age of 20 that both of them joined up with the Enix military.
He rose through the ranks to Captain rather quickly, in no small part because of his affable personality and dedication to his troops well-being. However, after numerous high-casualty missions and a refusal to follow orders to take his troops back into danger, Genesis was discharged with a Section 8.
After his discharge from the military, he returned home to Banora. Farming still suited him no better than it had in his teen years. Frustrated and feeling abandoned, he decided fell back on an old passion of his- LOVELESS, the play which had driven him to try to become a hero in the first place. Taking his obsession to new heights, he began collecting actors to perform the work. Having had success with his old love, he began writing more works for the group and took them to the not-to-distant City of Dissidia.
