The idea of a prospecting roommate always made Jensen a little nervous, even more so than the beginning of a new year, inching ever closer to his all-important future. Although he was eager to continue with his studies and return to his American friends were exciting, he was fairly preoccupied...
CJ trailed along the familiar dormitory hallways, his suitcase rolling behind him as he carried various other things under his arms and in his free hand. He had barely bothered to look at his room mate assignment, only remembering his name to be Jensen...something. He would have to avoid the awkwardness of asking what his last name was, the paper had to be somewhere among his things. He hadn't given much though to how this year would be with a new roommate. His last two hadn't been anything special, didn't cause any trouble, but also hadn't particularly sparked any interest in CJ. All this was fine with him even though he had set out to college with the intention of having more in depth relationships with people other than the occasional hang out on the weekend and being lab partners. Maybe this Jensen guy would make a good first impression, this being very important to CJ as he tended to decide if someone was worth getting to know or not within about five minutes of meeting them. Not the best way to start off a new school year by getting off on the wrong foot with your roommate, CJ decided he'd try and give this guy a chance. Struggling with all the luggage he had dragged with him, he finally managed to find his room.

Cameron James "CJ" Brooks | 19 | Biochemistry | FC: Luke Newberry
→ ATTRIBUTES: intelligent, high goals, self-reliant
→ FLAWS: sometimes elitist, holds grudges, pessimist
→ PERSONALITY: cj mostly likes to keep to himself and has come to the city primarily to get a degree, get a job, and get a life. he isn’t much of a follower, nor a leader—an outlier. while he sometimes throws himself up on a pedastol, he retains a censor therefore preserving his limited relationships. when he likes you, he likes you, but when he doesn’t he tends to cling to that corrupted opinion until you prove him wrong. he’s hard to crack, veterans would say.Â
→ BIOGRAPHY: Growing up with two scientists as parents, everyone always knew CJ would be the brainy child that he prided himself on being. Although sometimes the pressure of school got to him, while trying to live up to high standards, he had some friends whom he hung out with on occasion, still managing to have a normal social life without being very close to anyone. He had always been very independent and focused on what he wanted. Chicago seemed to be the best place for CJ, a nice private school for him to continue being the intelligent and somewhat aloof guy he is and close to his hometown of Lyons so he isn’t too far from home.
