i think people have a weird idea on how to “rescue abuse victims”
taking in abused child won’t always work the way you think,, as a child, i was almost kidnapped by my abusive dad’s family after being taken away from him. I get the idea of rescuing a child from an abusive situation, I truly do! but abusive parents don’t usually back down just because the object of their abuse is taken away.
NOT SAYING IT IN A “if you’re being abused you’re doomed” WAY!!! there’s ways to help abuse victims but it won’t be as quick as you’d like, and sometimes these suggestions to save abuse victims can harm them in the long run
