I am not living the life i thought i would when i was a kid.

Mostly because as a kid I believed that every adult struggled daily around the common threats of quick sand, nudist colonies, black holes, and North Korea. And it is oddly disappointing to admit I have never interacted with any of these in any way during my time as an adult. Please someone inform me, have I been doing it wrong?

I hate sports, but i love calling baseball “american cricket” or “baby’s first cricket match” or “the t ball version of cricket” especially

Especially when a man in a bar is explaining baseball to me

If you would like to join me in this well deserved persecution of men and america here is a vocabulary list you can “mess up”

You still score runs, make outs, and play innings, there are still batters however you can call the batter a “batsman”

the pitcher is “bowler”

The catcher “wicket keeper”

Short stop is “fielder” who is in a region given by the captian like the “gully, slip, or cover”

“Wickets” are bases, they consist of three sticks “stumps” and two sticks sitting on top “bails”

Batters box is a “crease”

When a batter walks you can call it a “duck”

If there is an impossible pitch that cant be hit a “jaffa”

Taunts and chants and chirps are also called “sledging”

A “dolly” is an easy throw

Is the pitcher is throwing the ball aggressively at the batter trying to hit them it’s “chin music”

A “yorker” is throwing the pitch to the ground at the hitters feet

“Cow corner” is the empty part of the field during a game

When a pitcher or bowler has a certain hitter or batsman out repeatedly he’s called a “bunny”

When all the sticks are knocked down it is called “castled”

Now if you really want to get a baseball fan’s (or a cricket anti fan’s) goat then while watching the game if you see a baseball player hit a home run say “thats a boundary!” Or “That’s over the outer rope!” If you see the ball bounce on the ground say “that’s four runs!” But if the ball exits the park say “that’s six runs!”

Sometimes life gives you a mom that is shit. I have watched this woman abandon her kids to fend for themselves (infants toddlers and all) so that she can go sit in some mans house and mother his kids. I think she lives to compete with baby mamas. She will travel across the country to cook dinner for some strange mans children but can not bother to leave her room for an hour to eat dinner already cooked with her family. Maybe i should be forgiving since she has mental illness and is a veteran. But every time my little brother is heart broken because she chose to do something cool with some other fucking kid i just stop fucking caring. What a cunt.

Having a shy boyfriend is delightful. He gets excited to tell you things as soon as he sees you because he hasn’t talked to anyone else today and needs to socialize. But also you can not hear a damn word he says.

My abuser was across the country but constantly harassing me and threatening my therapist, my friends, my family. So i applied for a restraining order and they expedited him directly to me. He was not only in my state, he was in my city, he knew my address and he had nothing but time while we waited for them to arrest him. He went from digitally harassing me to physically stalking and threatening me. The legal system put me in so much more immediate danger.

Also from the other perspective as far as i understand, someone can press charges on you in a state you don’t and or have never lived in and if you don’t show up you are immediately guilty? I had files and files of evidence and usb’s to show the court and they didn’t want to see any of it because he was found guilty entirely for not being there. Like ig i am glad that they found him guilty and he was eventually arrested but idk how that was fair either? The legal system is a jumbled mess.

i am almost out of my medication, and i am supposed to reschedule my therapy apt but i don’t want to. I don’t want to talk to her. I don’t want to take these fake pills.

Haven’t you wondered where I was? I have been spending days and nights in the *looks down* laboratory! This project has sacrificed many *takes breath* assistants and even the… erhm the other lesser kind of… *checks notes again* assistants too *shrugs* in order to build the most terrible machine- *notice camera man shaking head* -game changing technology to bring the GENERAL PUBLIC TO ITS KNEES ONCE AND FOR ALL! - i mean … challenge their entrenched hierarchies. I don’t think that we are saying different things. I think you are over complicating what I am saying, and I am over simplifying what you are saying. This is good. The same thing needs said in different ways because people are different. Being caught in the differences can be an aspect of study, but tbh it is not mine at this moment.
