The catcher âwicket keeperâ
Short stop is âfielderâ who is in a region given by the captian like the âgully, slip, or coverâ
âWicketsâ are bases, they consist of three sticks âstumpsâ and two sticks sitting on top âbailsâ
Batters box is a âcreaseâ
When a batter walks you can call it a âduckâ
If there is an impossible pitch that cant be hit a âjaffaâ
Taunts and chants and chirps are also called âsledgingâ
A âdollyâ is an easy throw
Is the pitcher is throwing the ball aggressively at the batter trying to hit them itâs âchin musicâ
A âyorkerâ is throwing the pitch to the ground at the hitters feet
âCow cornerâ is the empty part of the field during a game
When a pitcher or bowler has a certain hitter or batsman out repeatedly heâs called a âbunnyâ
When all the sticks are knocked down it is called âcastledâ
Now if you really want to get a baseball fanâs (or a cricket anti fanâs) goat then while watching the game if you see a baseball player hit a home run say âthats a boundary!â Or âThatâs over the outer rope!â If you see the ball bounce on the ground say âthatâs four runs!â But if the ball exits the park say âthatâs six runs!â
