I was arguing with a man once and he tried to mock me by saying sarcastically “I’m sorry, women are angels. It’s all men’s fault”, and I mean… is it that hard to believe? 😬
Rationally, I know not all women are good people, but as a group, we really are the sweetest of creatures. 🤷🏻♀️
I know that saying women are beautiful, sensitive creatures who make the world a better place is part of what you people call “benevolent sexism”, but what can be done if it is true?

There is an evil man in my vicinity who I’m sure has taught Saint Cyprian of Antioch himself a few spells.
I believe Saint Cyprian of Antioch doesn’t have the same reputation in English-speaking countries. Catholic lore says that he later converted to Christianity and became a martyr, but his name here is synonymous with black magic and sorcery because of the infamous “Livro de São Cipriano” (a compilation of spells and incantations attributed to him).

If I emigrate to Finland or Norway, I’ll look for a good, gentle man to have a relationship with. As long as I’m still in Brazil: celibacy.
Despite the bad experiences I’ve had with women, I still have a rather romanticised view of my own gender. I guess that’s because, even though my mother was a neglectful parent, I’ve never had a truly dishonourable exchange with a woman. I have hated some of them, but without that deep wound of debasement. Men, however, killed in me every romantic notion of them that I had acquired from books. Which is awful, because I wish I could believe that I lived in a world where every man was a brave and gentle knight.
I switched from Spotify to Apple Music. I’m happy to find out that it has the Chet Baker in Tokyo album (which contains my favorite version of “Almost Blue” <3), as well as Joanna Newsom’s albums.

One of the most humiliating experiences in a woman’s life is trying to defend a man against another man who is mistreating him, only for the victim himself to seem pretty much unfazed by the offence. Even when it is a serious, sometimes even criminal offence.
That’s why it is so crazy to me when men say that no one cares about their pain, because a lot of people do, especially women. However, they themselves do not seem to care much about their own pain when the person inflicting it is also a man. It is only from women that they cannot take even the mildest offence.
What a strange world.
