“Our task was to communicate the masculine, straight-talking nature of Thomas Dakin, in stark contrast to the affected style of much southern-oriented gin drinking, whilst elevating the processes and unique botanicals used in the 250 year old recipe. To do this we designed a tall, partly embossed red label, with an abundance of messaging and a variety of typefaces, and set it against a gun-metal grey glass bottle, that refers to square apothecary vessels of the eighteenth century.”
Here. designs everything from brands to bars to bakeries, from books to bottles to boxes. And a lot more besides. As designers they always build from the roots up. Their process is simple: understand and define a clear vision for the project; explore the visual and verbal roots of the idea; translate these roots into an authentic cultural experience.

Heroes and Villians- Responsive Menus
Responsive Menus. When the width of the screen goes to 600px, the menu will switch from the top menu- full screen, where all links are visible, is not feasible or visually pleasing on a mobile device - this would take up a too-large part of the screen if it was scaled down to mobile, therefore I have created a drop down hamburger menu which is styled with css and activated using Javascript. The menu is full screen and can be clicked on and off using the hamburger button which is fixed at the top of the screen, meaning it can be reached no matter how far down the user is in the website.
Style tile for Heroes and Villains.
The inspiration behind this was victorian typography, examples of this can be found in my project moodboard. Bold font for the main heading, with a similar style font for the headings throughout. Responsive hamburger menu and serif body font.

Some simple and brilliant animations i’ve found in order to use in my bird project!
What does it all mean?!
Working with SVGs for the first time over the last few days has been a challenge! Managed to learn a lot and put some animated SVGs on the bird project.
