Clem smiled at the roll of her eyes. She knew that was a good thing. It meant Addison wasn’t even hesitating with this decision. Her heart fluttered when Addison kissed her hand, and she couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh. “I love you.” she said as she looked at Addison’s pinkie before linking it with hers. “I really really do.” she admitted, before leaning over and giving her girlfriend a soft kiss on the lips.

Addison chewed her bottom lip in thought, bringing her knees up to her chest before resting her chin on top of them. “Well, you have to go. There’s no questioning that.” She gave her a small smile. “The real question is whether it’d be crazy for you to bring me along. It’ll sort of clash with the beginning of the Latin America tour, but I could move stuff around and make it work.”

Clem’s eyes brightened at Addison’s suggestion. She almost bounced right off the bed. “You want to come with me?!” she asked excitedly. That wasn’t where she was seeing this conversation going. “But what about school? And your friends here?” she asked. “Because I want you to come with me for real.”

“So then that’s good.” She said simply, still confused. “Not local?” Addison asked, furrowing her brows together before she realized what Clementine was saying. “…Oh.” A sigh passed her lips. “So you’d have to leave.”

Clem found herself nodding. “Yeah. I have to leave.” she said softly. There was no was she was going to turn this down, but she also was in love with Addison. So much so she was considering just saying fuck it and staying just for her. “What are we going to do?” she asked. She had never been in a long distance relationship before, if that was what Addison wanted.

She nodded slowly as Clementine spoke, raising her brows at the information. “That’s amazing, bub,” Addison told her with a grin. “That’s what you wanted, right? So why don’t you seem happier?” It wasn’t surprising that her girlfriend was gaining traction so quickly - Addison had known Clementine was too good for Monarch since the first time she saw her practice.

Clem smiled back. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t excited by the opportunity. She rubbed the back of her neck, licking her lips nervously. “I am happy. Really happy.” she admitted. She bit her bottom lip. “The thing is, I’d have to move closer to his gym and where he lives, and he’s not local.” she admitted. She sighed, knowing it would be better to just rip the band-aid off. “He lives in Georgia.”

“It only took me all summer.” She laughed, sitting back down on her bed. “Okay, let’s talk,” Addison agreed, ignoring the way those words were making her stomach turn before patting the space next to her. She shoved her books and writing utensils aside to make room before answering. “I do remember that. And I remember you talking to them so I assume it went well.”

“I’m still proud of you.” she told Addison. She followed her over to her bed, sitting next to her once there was space. “It did go well. Really well.” she said happily for a moment. “One of them was a past Olympian. Pole Vault.” she swallowed thickly. “He’s offering to coach me for the olympics babe.”

The 1 // Clem and Addison

It’d been a really long day of studying for Addison. After receiving her failing grades for the year, and after she’d wrapped up the first half of her tour, she’d signed up for several summer classes and had invested in getting a tutor. She was actually doing pretty well, so Clementine’s timing was perfect. Addison’s brows raised hearing her voice through the door - she usually just let herself in. Getting up to open it, Addison gave her girlfriend a look. “Hey.” A small smile played on her lips. “I just got my grades back for the summer semester. They’re actually not that bad.”

Clem found herself smiling down at her girlfriend as the door opened, following her inside. “Hey there.” she said softly. Her eyes brightened at her girlfriend’s news. “That’s great baby!” she said. She wanted nothing more than to kiss her, but then she remembered the reason she was there in the first place. “So uh, I have to talk to you about something.” she started. “Do you remember when I said I had some scouts coming to watch me at my last meet?”
