Sculpture by Cédric Le Borgne
French artist Cédric Le Borgne works to creates delicate wire sculptures all around the world. He suspends his art above public spaces in the hope that it enriches everyone who passes by. In an interview he describes how he makes his art relatable to all people:
There is no provocation, there is no concept, there is no code to understand. The picture is empty, so the mind can live in the sculpture. Combustus

Where do angels fly in the firmament, and how many can dance on the head of a pin? Well, I don’t care about that pin dance, what I know is that they rest, sometimes, in the tops of the trees and you can see them, or almost see them, or, anyway, think: what a wonderful idea. I have lost as you and others have possibly lost a beloved one, and wonder, where are they now? The trees, anyway, are miraculous, full of angels (ideas);even empty they are a good place to look, to put the heart at rest–all those leaves breathing the air, so peaceful and diligent, and certainly ready to be the resting place of strange, winged creatures that we, in this world, have loved.

A Short History of Silence
BY JANE YEH
In our house, all the clocks are turned off and the mirrors Don’t work. We sit like bread in a stay-fresh wrapper, Keep ourselves to our selves. Sometimes the speeches Are so beautiful it hurts. On the porch where we can’t be
Seen to smile, the honeysuckle meshes with silent Weeds. We rock back and forth, back and forth in our long Black dresses. Mosquitoes taste our blood and find it good.
Inside, candles are lit every night and keep going Until they burn themselves down. We kiss our fingers To our lips like Italians, promise we’ll never look back. Whip-poor-will. When the doorbell rings we don’t answer.
In winter, the fur grows long on the horses and the ice Grows long on the eaves. We sleep in the same bed Like good animals, braid our hair together, tailor Our limbs to fit. Conspiracy of wood.
Art by Anna Maria Cutolo, poetry by Jane Yeh.

INSIDE ISSUE 020 // “The beautiful, ethereal creatures present in KiSung Koh’s art are evocative of a better time – a time on earth, perhaps, before humans had explored everything and had systematically begun to take over. But more than that, his wild animals are almost heart sore, suspended forever in time and space.” Read more about KiSung Kohki Koh and his work in Issue 020 of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine. .
