ok i'm sorry but making gyatso the reason aang left the avatar state makes SO MUCH SENSE? listen: first that it highlights what he lost but also what he needs to cherish from now on and the motives behind his determination to become avatar. it SHOULD BE about the family he just lost, the grief, but also the memories and the legacy he now must protect. aang's biggest pain, and his biggest reason to fight (to avoid something similar from happening to other nations) and second, while it might suck at first for the kataangs, the truth is that on a live action their age gap looks... too much right now to develop any romance on season 1.

let them bond over the seasons and katara slowly becoming that person for him instead of instant puppy love. let katara slowly see aang become more than a child while caring for him as she already does, more and more. let her become aang's new home and reason as time passes by, even friendship wise!!!!!! i am 100% if we get s2 and s3 that those are the steps they are taking, especially since we will have time jumps to explain the actors aging.

I’m sorry but to me the “Daemon orchestrated blood and cheese because he’s evil and bloodthirsty” is the laziest possible interpretation of his motivations. You don’t think he did it because he wanted Aemond to live with the guilt of being the reason his nephew is dead?? Or because seeing Rhaenyra grieving her dead son was too painful and drove him to commit an awful act of revenge??? Or that maybe just MAYBE he actually developed affection for the step-son he spent six years raising, and the loss of his brother, daughter and Luke made him want to hurt the Greens as much as they’ve hurt him and his family???? Idk I just think the option where Daemon is the moustache twirling cartoon villain who only does things because he’s the big bad monster on the show is soo boring and overused
