q&a: what inspired yall to make a nuzlocke comic of legends arceus? is there anything abt that game you're particularly excited to explore / get into? ^^
Honestly, we did it not only because we were both getting into the game, but because the structure was so different and offered a new challenge in terms of Nuzlockes! The game is particularly challenging with it's battle balancing, so we figured it would make for a rough but interesting time!
In terms of what we're excited to get into, honestly we're most hyped for character relations and interactions! The Diamond and Pearl Clans offer an interesting cast and rivalry to be addressed, so we have a LOT planned for their history as well as how Kentaro and Kiana fit into the mix with them! Same also goes for Jubilife Village and the residents there as well!
Heya! For the QnA, I was curious what made you decide to have 2 protagonists? How has having more than one "main character" affected your approach to making the story?

As for the second question, it definitely affects how we made the story since we have two driving characters instead of the usual one protag! Michi handled most of the concepts for Kiana's arc, while I handled most of Kentaro's, but there's still plenty of collaboration and bouncing ideas off of each other during that process to make the plot coherent!
We wanted to make sure both siblings have their respect arcs and character growth during the story, and I'm really happy with what we came up with! It is a story about the both of them after all, so finding that balance was super important to us, and I think the pace we've set for them will work well in the comic ^^

This is explained pretty heavily in their argument, but they won't be like this forever! Character development is mostly what this is about, so there will be changes to their mindsets and world views.
Q&A: For the creative team, what made you want to do a story with two protagonists??? And, were there any versions of Cloudfall considered during earlier drafts that may have been significantly different than the story you're sharing with us now???
To be honest, it only happened because we wanted to play Legends Arceus together! Liv and I have a lot of fun doing Duolockes together, so when PLA came out, it was only a matter of time before we decided to play together!
In case Duolockes aren't common knowledge: A Duolocke is a Nuzlocke where two people are playing the challenge at the exact same time with the same rules. We basically just both had the game and were like "yo let's do PLA hard mode but like... together", so we did LOL Our two protagonists who are now Kentaro and Kiana were just a result of us choosing an avatar and name and playing the game together!
In terms of "early drafts", we stayed pretty consistent in our work from start to finish! We basically went in with a vague idea, which was "Two Step-Siblings who don't get along much get isekai'd to Hisui", and then we fleshed it out from there. The original idea for our protagonist was honestly just "meathead jock and friendly musician" and then we fleshed them out until we got Kentaro and Kiana out of the mix!
