“Hm. Northwestern’s a great school, I’ve definitely heard of it. I would go to any lengths to be accepted to the school of my choice, so the events you had to endure seem reasonable to me. However, I’m still very sorry your mother prevented you from going.”
“Oh, you want to be a newspaper editor, huh? That seems like it’d be a good profession. I’m going to be an attorney. I’m going to Yale for law. Much more boring than what you want to be, it seems.”
It wasn't easy, but kind of amusing overall. People were actually scared of me. It was fantastic.
Yes, but lawyer gets an "oh, good for you" and newspaper editor gets "are you crazy?"
