the og frozen movie is still REALLY good if you look at elsa’s “ice powers” as an allegory for depression. (i don’t remember how the second movie goes or else i would be talking about it too)

to add to this, the second movie actually touches on Anna’s depression and trauma! it shows her attachment issues that formed over being isolated most of her important developmental years. and when she thinks she’s lost Elsa, she completely breaks down. also, Elsa still struggles with her depression and the fact that she doesn’t need to mask her emotions, showing that it doesn’t just go away, and that healing is not a linear process.
