General Information
Goldie Silverscreen is a portrait ghost who's a 'honorary hotel staff member' (i.e. ghost hotel guest thats been there so long, they may as well be staff). She has her own floor that's basically her animation studio, where she creates all sorts of cartoons she spends hours upon hours on. Due to how much time she spends on animation, most of the time she tends to be cranky and slow. But once she gets some sleep, she's completely different! She turns into a happy-go-lucky ghost, thatās bouncing off the walls (sometimes literally) with energy!
Before the Afterlife
Goldie Silverscreen was a well respected animator back in the golden age of animation (around the 1930s). She had spent plenty of time belting out cartoons to get to the status she was at. However, her parents wished she had went with a more stable job. Such as a nurse, teacher- even a office job! But, Goldie kept on living on her dream as a animator.
How She Died
She had gotten into a argument with her parents.
"Why aren't you happy for me? I'm living my dream, and I'm successful too!"
"We just want what's best for you. Your whole thing with animation is far too risky!"
Goldie had went to storm out the house, when her father had hurled a vase at her..
"Goldie..? ...Goldie!?"
A shard went straight through her brain, and it was too late when she was rushed to the hospital.
She doesn't know wether or not her father was charged with her murder, and frankly, she doesn't want to know.
The Afterlife
Goldie was devastated to see she was dead, and was absolutely freaking out. So enough she found The Last Resort, eventually settling in. She started out just stay in in the R.I.P Suites, covering the room she stayed in with sketches and storyboards, but eventually Hellen Gravely upgraded her to an entire animation studio. Goldie's still not over the shock.
In-Game encounter
When you actully meet Goldie in-game, she'll sit in the midst of unfinished sketches and scripts, weeping dramatically over the matter that her motivation had run dry. Luigi, aka the player, wanting the next elevator button (that, in a cutscene, is shown sitting under her cap, will have to enter tvs to enter full blown black and white cartoonish sets to retrieve all 4 pages of an āultimate script`, that when presented to Goldie, she'll grab the script and flip through it, then to immediately perk up in excitement as she gains sudden motivation and inspiration. Only then would she actually have a good look at Luigi, then exploding in more excitement, as she blabbers on how Luigi was "the perfect base" for her latest cartoon. Goldie would then lock herself into a side room, but through a crack in the wall you can see her racing around the room, filling paper upon paper with concept art and storyboards. In Goldie's rush to get started, she'll drop the elevator button to the next floor somewhere on her way to the side room. Luigi can just walk up to it, and pick it up. Needless to say, she's ecstatic. To sum it up, sheās the same situation as Morty.(except you canāt capture her. Once the creative juices start flowing she locks herself into the side room.)
