Who are you?
You can call me Temmie! I use he/they pronouns! I am absolutely fascinated by the history of Cartoon Network and it’s subsidiaries. My plan for this blog is post any bumpers, shorts, and promos that I find and wish to archive for myself!
How do you choose what bumpers to post?
Anything I find cool or interesting I archive!
Are submissions allowed?
Yes! So long as they’re media surrounding CN and it’s sister channels. Maybe later down the line I’ll expand to other animated networks, but for now, just CN
Are all of the dates factual?
As factual as they can be! A lot of these bumpers don’t have documented dates easily accessible! Meaning I have to go searching for them myself. If I can’t find a distinct year that it was aired after some digging, I decide based off of clues such as: Cartoons featured in the bumpers, marketing style, slogans, other bumpers in the same style that do have dates, the era it’s associated with, etc etc.
While this does mean that there could be some wrong dates (that will be updated if I’m able to find the correct ones) I always try my hardest to get as close as I can with the information available! The history of this stuff is fascinating to me after all, I want to do it justice.
Will you post anything outside of CN related stuff?
Sometimes! If I think it’s cool enough! But they will be tagged as marked below. Occasionally I’ll answer an ask here or there about something unrelated and talk about my own opinions or thoughts on something if given the chance. Any asks I do answer will be tagged accordingly.
How do you organize your posts?
Every post is tagged with the era it came out in, any specific slogan/series name (ie Victor Battle) if associated, and the predominant shows in the content. If you were to be looking for a specific piece of media, asks are always welcome! I’ve got a borderline encyclopedic knowledge of a lot of CN advertising.
