Quick clean up of old belts. I always hate throwing belts away because they are relatively expensive. However, I have learned that trying to squeeze every ounce of life out of them ends up costing me more time having to redo certain processes. Once they are worn out they leave inconsistencies, which have to be re-done with a fresh belt. Useless belts just end up cluttering my work flow. The only use for old belts I have found is taking 36 grit belts to clean up and dress my cotton buffing wheels between materials, compounds, or processes. Do you have any good uses for repurposing worn belts?
Done. ✔️ Super durable canvas camo micarta with satin brass corby bolts.
Clean up, new handles and sharpen. This is the result of untreated wood, lack of epoxy sealant, and probably a dishwasher or two. #rustnotpatina
