“… You’re… me…” he muttered, giving a confused and shocked look.

⇌ Ah, another alternate of his. This one gave him memories of the old days. “Yep. And so are you…’cept you’re younger.”

“So lemme guess, you’re confused right now, aren’t you?” ⇌

“Y-Yeah, I kinda am. That obvious?” Sonic asked.

⇌ “Yea. Pretty much.”, he grinned cheekily. “Here, let me explain. See,  in a nutshell, each world is like a snowflake. There are many like it, but it has individual parts that separate it. I just so happen to be older. How about you? Tell me a recent world-saving adventure you had.”

“And my most recent adventure? Hmmmm... Well, there was this hidden planet called the Lost Hex, and Eggman enlisted the held of these aliens called the Deadly Six. And... well... it wasn’t really a... fun adventure...” Sonic said, glancing down, remembering how he had almost lost his older bother...

“Sonic it’s 5 minutes in, they’re gonna be fine.” Tails said, sighing as he watched his brother reacting the way he did.

“YOU DON’T KNOW THAT” Sonic yelled.

‘Sweet Gaia what did I do to him?’ the twin-tailed fox thought.

“No Zone is perpendicular to all other zones so, naturally it’s inhabitants are going to be stuck sideways unless our zone’s technology is active.” Zonic was liking this Sonic; very curious which amused him. He activated his plane corrector and stepped off the wall, emerald eyes glinting behind his visor. “See? An easy fix to other zones’ gravity. As for ‘checks out’, everything in this zone is order; nothing out of balance.” 

The zone cop tilted his head slightly. “Hopefully I’m making sense; it’s, sort of hard to explain.”

“Kinda, yeah.” Sonic said, rather thankful that his zone was apparently fine.

“What would cause my zone to not check out?” he asked. It was a genuine question. Though, he felt like he might not end up liking the answer...
