It's been a while and I think I'm gonna delete my Tumblr. I've been on here since I was 13, it was a great starting point for my art but I don't identify with my past interests or art anymore. I'm 18 going to college and things have changed for me. My love for art is still strong, it just has changed. I'm getting back into art and want to grow with it. I've just changed, and I'm not really connected to any community here anyway. I have become active on Instagram and it's more personal but I won't be sharing it publicly if there are any mutuals who would love to stay in touch with me as I part from Tumblr shoot me a message and I'll give you my information. Hey y'all I'm not dead just have had a very major switch in my art interests. I still love animals, forever will just unsure not as interested in furry work anymore. I aspire to strengthen my human artwork and work on aesthetic's of art. Not hate of that community I'm just growing as a person and things change. What inspired your fursona and how did you discovered that fandom :0 ?

my fursona came 3 years of constantly changing her and finding out who i am as a person.. but she was HIGHLY inspired after all that time by, my ethnicity (i’m mixed!), me embracing my curls instead of hiding them and of course a dog. I often compare myself to having loyalty like one.

I found the fandom through MLP lol I couldn’t draw people but i could draw animals and i began drawing furries ing 7th grade haha.

A tool that I’ve found is really handy is a called the Cash Clock. It’s a simple program that measures both the time that you’re working on a piece as well as how much money you should be earning. You can adjust the hourly wage to whatever you feel is right. Simply start the clock whenever you begin working on a project right up until you’re finished. It can give you a clear indication of what you should charge for commissions.

No artist should make below minimum wage for their artwork.

Please stop lowering the pay floor for independent artists everywhere by thinking $5-10/commission is anywhere close to an acceptable rate for something you spent three hours on.
