GP 2.0
I have so much planned ugh. Slowly doing a complete rewrite on GP:2, code name Pancake. hah. The first one was code name Parlour. I'm doing away with the MVC structure and the JSON config files in favour of a module (via Service Controller Service Providers [thanks, Silex!]) structure (each module will have its own model/view/controller where views are raw templates and completely standalone outside of a site theme [insert some comment about using Foundation 5 as a skeleton structure here]) and php config files just for the sake of level of ease. I love Silex and eventually, maybe, just maybe, I'll make the switch to Symfony proper. But for now, GP will continue to be built using Silex. <3
Also, PHPUnit, a console tool for migrations, more stuff. Omg. So much stuff.
Anyone need a link? Grimmauld Place RPG
the night I lost my head
cried a little. cried a lot. had a complete breakdown. cried a lot. fuck this shit.
all the code stuff!
I haven't written anything lately.
I haven't built anything lately.
*grumpy sigh*
I have all these features (somewhat abstractly) planned but I've been dealing with random little things like bugs and stupid crap not working.
I broke the site just before Thanksgiving and took a break from it but got it up like, that night.
Foundation 5 just came out!!! Or it came out REALLY recently. IDK. I'm rewriting the core theme to incorporate Foundation 5 (upgrading from a really basic 3; 4 didn't have instant support for off-canvas, so I downgraded, but yay, it's built into 5!). I'm also separating out basic things on the site into macro partials, so themes will basically just be skins instead of having to rewrite every single component every time I make a new theme.
I have so much planned, but I can't really blow the lid on it just yet. :)
So far, doing things with a slow pace has been good for my sanity. I haven’t been stressing out majorly about programming and developing GP further; however, it is frustrating that I haven’t added any more features over the last few days.
I had been spending all my time reading and planning a...

more GP ideas
I've been chugging along, making strides and doing things slowly today. I have a new setup! I'm now working with a private BitBucket repository and hopefully I can remember to do things by branch then push to master once I'm happy with it. :) I'm excited about the amount of buzz we're getting on Grimmauld Place. It's literally only three days old at this time, and I'm utterly humbled by how much my friends love it. I have a scheiss ton of not only new ideas, but additions and tools in mind.
Right now? Just writing this down before I forget: Admin tools for creating a new forum table before uploading new code. Idk how that'll work in the long run though. I do like the idea of having a mini mysqladmin tool as a secret admin tool. Though it'll have to be granted as a special secretadmin option, just in case I decide to have more admins in the future.
Writing the pin/lock tools right now on local, then planning to do an "edit post" option. :) I'm happy that I managed to add some preventative measures client-side against accidental double-posting. And I'm extremely pleased with the BitBucket thing. I'm gonna make sure to stick to it. As far as data backups, the only thing I can do for now is download it every night via phpmyadmin, but I want to be able to auto-email that in the future, sort of like version control, but only downloading the updated/newly inserted rows. Yay, more development. :)
New temporary blog.
This is, what, my 348th attempt at consistently blogging? Hopefully this time I'll stick to it. Today I... planned a ton of features for Grimmauld Place. I haven't built them yet, but they've all been brewing in my head since I opened the site. I can't wait to ...[fill in the blank]. Ugh. There's so much. Just so much that I can't say yet.
For now, I'm excited about GP. ♥ I have so many things to add to it.
Gavin DeGraw album on Spotify right now. All the things. I can't wait 'til January! :)
