❝Robin…. Hello. Are you done with work?❞
She gives him a moment to process her presence, as it’s something she’s not sure he is aware of when she first speaks. She’s only been there a few minutes, really – it’s just that watching him work is fascinating to her, inspiring even.
❝I’ve made you something, if you’d like to take a sip.
It’s not harmful, I promise. I tested it on plenty of animals
beforehand – rest in pieces to those first few, I guess –
but it’s fine now.❞
She’s beginning to grow a little bit embarrassed now, arms holding her tome even closer to her body while her fingers clasp the vial she offers him. She looks to her side, awaiting a response. A smile begins to creep onto her face, hopefully remaining unseen – she needs to suppress a giggle, in fact. something oh so difficult for the mage, but she manages nonetheless.
Robin was never someone to leave a task half finished.
As soon as the war meeting was finished, he hid away in
his tent until he was satisfied with us work and the tactician
was a very, very, harsh critic. Such work habits often kept
him awake until ungodly hours of the night when everyone was asleep.
Everyone but Tharja, apparently.
“A-AH! Thar...ja? How long have you--”
He pauses, taking a deep breath.
“Please don’t sneak up on me when I work.”
Tired eyes fall on the vial and then back at her.
“In... in pieces? As in, no longer in a single piece?”
This... was concerning. He didn’t know how he felt
about drinking something that had previously decimated
animals in it’s development. But he did know that he didn’t
want to meet the same fate as they.
“I... I appreciate it, but I’m okay. Thank you.”
