i rewatched s1 ep5: deep cover and here are some of my thoughts:

colin being the ONLY guy wearing a black pink t-shirt will always be funny. he really thought he would blend in with the ✨tech bros✨ well to be fair he did blend in, nobody seemed suspicious. so yay colin. imagining the devil wearing a kpop shirt is hilarious too.

colin being so offended that the internet likes girl assumes he’s in his fifties even though that’s basically his age. midlife crisis colin <3 though i feel like all of his life is a crisis.

i love when colin is bold and cocky and cuts through the small talk. colin is like colin yes! bill says colin no! but in the end it’s always colin yes because bill can’t help it he loves his partner’s mysterious ways 😌

COLIN SAVING BILLLLL and bill saving colin later on. romance. in a constant loop of “i owe you one, we’re even, i owe you one again”.

how are bill and colin still alive ? poisoning, explosion, they don’t learn and they’re never careful enough. the best of their kind, huh? no wonder why there are so many threats and dangers in their world if these are the two people keeping everyone safe.

kevin’s comments and attitude towards gina are giving me the ick, i didn’t remember that he acted like that 🥲

jealous bill 😌 double yeah 😌 he really can’t stand knowing that colin is such a flirty lover boy.

the diner with hostage situation is still just as nerve wracking as the first time this episode aired. colin (and the innocent civilians at the restaurant) got out of there in extremis indeed.

at the end of the day, i hope the dog is okay ❤️

the scene between colin and sarah proves yet again just how touchy feely colin is. he craves intimacy & proximity, he longs for that physical connection and “honesty” he can only get through touch. that scene (for all the obvious reasons) is one of my ultimate fave moments from the season.

nsfw but i knowww that colin is freaky and he lovesss to involve that big mirror on the wall to make the other person watch how he makes them unravel then he can make some cocky, mocking comment about it while the other one is spiralling in pleasure at the feeling and at the sight 🤭

rewatched ‘directed energy’ and I am still floored by the absolutely bonkers subtext of the conversation between bill and colin about bobby & adrian. “bobby is adrian’s partner” “i don’t see any difference” “of course you don’t. bobby is adrian’s romantic partner” and then them watching the two reunite later on and looking awkwardly at each other?!? meanwhile they’ve spent the entire episode acting like the leads in an early 2000s enemies to lovers romcom. LOL.

i rewatched s1 ep4: forced labor and here are some of my thoughts:

this storyline is incredibly dark and it makes me just as uncomfortable as the first time it aired 🥲

colin forcing bill to pose as an anxious, expecting dad because colin couldn’t “pull that one off” is sooo funny knowing colin is out there being a step dad in his spare time in sarah’s house 😂 BUT i’d love for dad!bill to return as a cover. it’d be sweet.

i have a feeling that bill will lose his dad in season 2 and paired with the love triangle with katie/lauren that was hinted at in interviews, this will send him off the rails for sure.

speaking of the triangle, that will throw off bill’s moral compass. he was so quick to remind colin that he was engaged in response to colin jokingly revealing that he set bill up with a date with the nurse. and he was quick to tell lauren about it when sparks started flying… oooh i’m excited to see bill be tormented between guilt and romance.

gina on the field! gina speaking russian!!! they missed an opportunity to reuse that in episode 8 orbital, at the hotel. and she speaks spanish too. they should put her linguistic skills to use again!!!

colin and gina sharing a laugh and a drink, i likey. they have a great dynamic. i hope we get more mentor/mentoree opportunities in season 2, they work well together and they’re nice to watch!

judging by the schedule of the season rerun that’s happening on the channel that originally aired cia where i live, they would be done replaying the 12 episodes by the end of september…

so it’s possible that cia season 2 could start as early as september 28th or the first week of october 👀 i’m not familiar with tv releases and especially not cbs/this type of tv shows so i might be wrong 😅

but i hope we get content on set since they begin to film soon! i also hope they keep up with releasing stills and sneak peaks/scenes for each episode.

i’m rewatching s1 ep1: directed energy (again!) and here are some more thoughts:

i know they are far too skittish (and controlled by the gov) to ever push for colin & bill to be an actual couple but they framed it so perfectly for them to be a thing. colin looking through the window to the building in front of him and spotting bill? that’s pure romance. from the start, the entire promotion relied on colin & bill being an odd pairing. and their partnership has built stronger with each following episode. i am #delulu and i will never back down from glassman!

bill being so eager to refer to colin as officer glass 🥹

colin’s bold little spiel later on about having someone close to the heart is like having a target on your back constantly putting you in danger and YET he is the most caring and protective character in the entire show. i love the way we’re supposed to believe colin is made out of cold metal instead of glass but he shatters for everyone he cares about.

also bill used to gamble? was he good at it? did he get into troubles or was this a trick he kept up his sleeve?

i love when they go all fancy with the cinematography. the hallway with the empty frames was so unsettling and so cool. i hope they continue to do this in the next season. the unique camera angles like this, like the library scene in forbidden eye, like the threats from colin to toni in his apartment in broken glass. pure cinema!

how i wish they would include more songs! i loved the hint of radiohead right at the start of the season and i remember wishing that this song would be woven into more episodes, like a thread connecting certain scenes or just a common element between the different storylines. i hope they do invest more in the musical budget of the next season.

nikki is so gorgeous. she gets more beautiful every time i see her. that’s the most important element of this whole post.
