Seriously though, in the past planned parenthood was fucked up as hell. They used to forcibly sterilize black women and disabled women, at some points using the pretense of sterilizing “criminals.” They were (in the footsteps of Margaret Sanger) actively eugenisist into even the 90s. Today they largly do not do these things anymore, and while it’s still important to remember the flaws of the past, the services they provide now are important as hell. Of course, modern planed parenthood is not above critique, and should be critiqued– for the rampant liberalism and the other bullshit that goes with the territory of nonprofit organizations.
