Apologies
I would like to apologize to anyone who reads this blog. My program had broken, causing me to lose most of my progress, and thus my animation is not completely done.

Apologies
I would like to apologize to anyone who reads this blog. My program had broken, causing me to lose most of my progress, and thus my animation is not completely done.
The concept for my project is: Overcoming your evil, because in my animation I used a ninja to symbolize me as a student at Open Windows Institute as well as a vampire for my stress levels. The animation starts off where the vampire is small and frail, thus the ninja just shrugs him off. As time passes by, the vampire (stress) grows and thus becomes a bigger and bigger threat. Because I don't have a lot of skill or time, I'm using mostly freeware models, but animating it all by myself. I chose the Vampire and the Ninja each for their own special reasons.
I chose the Vampire, because they kill you slowly and they're mostly ugly creatures that you don't typically want to spend your time around. I chose a Ninja because they're cool and like a ninja I'm trained to fight my opponents head on as well as from the shadows. What I mean by that is, I can work both for hours on end (head on) as well as plan out my work with a full proof plan (shadows).
My animation is connected to the Creative Hero's Journey due to the fact that both the Ninja and I need to learn how to conquer our foes when we have a chance, instead of leaving it to the last minute.
I'll like to sign off with the message of my animation: Face your Fears before they get the upper hand.
Above is the link to my video that was had posted on YouTube.
Little change of plans. (21 OCTOBER 2019)
Making two characters doing capoeira is really hard and way too time consuming, so I'm going to make a short film of how stress effects us in different stages of the term
Mind Map (POST CLASS WEEK 6)
We made mind maps of our projects.
My Nemesis (POST CLASS WEEK 5)
We all had to give solutions using Dixit cards like they were Tarot cards. It helped with us thinking on our feet and to get a few solutions to our problems.
Characters
Found my two characters for my animation. Here's a sneak peak of how the look. Left is the Vampire and right is the Ninja.
Free 3D assets at Miximo.com if you ever need any place to download.
Spitballing Ideas (POST WEEK 4)
This week we all had to write down our ideas on an A3 paper and then we had to let people float around class so they could add comments and ideas. Here's the results.
Change of pace (Wednesday 2 October 2019)
Due to me being pushed for time, I am not doing my book for this term’s project.Â
I am not leaving the book, I'm just going to put more focus on my animation that I think might just be more doable for the time I have been given, so don’t be surprised if you stop seeing updates for my book and see small animations of vampires and ninjas dancing.
On the left we have my creation. The evil time cat and on the right we have his posey, aka the group I worked with creations.
My Nemesis (POST CLASS WEEK 3)
We had to create our biggest enemies when it comes to our creative projects and process.
I made a monster that is a combination of my cat, who’s constantly on my keyboard, time, which I feel I don’t have enough of, and odd shapes, because I feel that my story just won’t take shape, no matter what I try.
Apologies
I would like to apologize for not posting for the last two weeks, I accidentally posted on my other blog and only noticed my mistake today (07/10/2019)
Progress (Wednesday 25 September 2019)
I finished my first four chapters of my book.
The story thus far is...
Kitai, still in pain learns all the dos and don’ts of the world of Alzuss. He also meets his first noble, Violet Rose and he learns that he has no right in the world until he works for/with either the Knights or the Church.
Trouble (WEEK 2 POST CLASS)
So I had a really interesting argument with my lecturer, Morne Venter, and I think I won because despite him telling me that I am not allowed to write my book at the start of class, he eventually gave me permission. So on goes the challenge.
Sorry
Unfortunately, I do not have a cover page or any visual stuff to show you guys. Yet. But I promise that I will make it up to you guys next week.Â
I start writing the first five chapters for before Friday and I’ll send you all the videos of me enacting out my adventures in Alzuss. See you all soon and hope you all have an awesome week.

1) Beginning/New Game [17 September 2019]
So a quick intro to the book, cause that’s all I have right now.
A young boy wakes up feeling light as air and confused as hell. When he tries to talk, he is greeted with silence. What looks like the main menu from a game appears in front of him and an annoying voice soon follows. This voice tells him that he has died and he now had a choice. Accept the offer that one of the gods had given him to make him part of another world, or he can pass on peacefully into the afterlife. Obviously, he chooses the former option.
The reason I take such a cliched beginning is that it has so much potential and possibilities that I can explore. I decided that I want to write Gamer World because it’s my world that I tend to escape to when I’m bored and sleepy, which tends to happen a lot. Fun fact of the book, this is actually the Prequal to my book for the game we, Jean-Ru, Brandt and I, are working on.
