So, I just realized something. Admittedly I came to this conclusion a little late, and others have stated the same, but it still blew my mind when I came to it.
Last Summer, Bethesda and ID Software released initial information, including a trailer, for their new Commander Keen mobile game. Most people were significantly underwhelmed by this. I mean, a mobile game? Eww. But thereās a little something hidden in there that is absolutely shocking. So, the game stars these two new little kids:
Now, according to the release information, these two new kids are the children of the original Commander Keen. So, why is that interesting? So theyāre his kids. Itās cute, but it doesnāt really contribute that much. So freakin what? Well, as those of you who are as deeply entrenched in useless ID Software trivia as I am may well be able to recount, according to the old 90s lore, the original Commander Keen was the father of none other than Flynn Taggart, better known at the time as the Doomguy, and now known widely as the Doom Slayer.
What I am saying is that this dorky little red headed boy here:

Iāve seen quite a few things in VRChat that I truly didnāt think Iād ever see. You wanna know something kinda surprising Iāve learned?
After playing as Doomguy in VRChat a lot, itās become clear to me that apparently quite a few people think heās pretty hot. For instance, one girl I was having a chat with asked me who he was because, in her words, āhe looks like my type.ā
Itās the abs, you see. They always say something about those glorious abs. Some brave souls will even come right up and use their VR hand trackers to caress them.
Honestly, God bless id for having a male protagonist who both kicks demon ass and steals hearts.
