“ You’re wierder than Tobias, and that’s saying something. What do you want? ”
Now I can’t go on.
{ I can’t even start. }
I’ve got ᶰ ᵒ ᵗ ʰ ᶤ ᶰ ᵍ left… just an empty heart.
┋ ᵗʰᵉʸ ᶜᵃᶰ'ᵗ ʰ ᵘ ʳ ᵗ ᵐᵉ ᵃᶰʸᵐᵒʳᵉ ┋
☾ There’s nothing left to ɓʀɛɑk of me There’s nothing left to тαkє from me ☽
“I don’t care if it’s weird, mom. Don’t lecture me.” – a bitter retort.
It was a sensible act of benevolence– offering water to someone on a hot day who didn’t seem to have any. Unfortunately, Avery’s penchant for being blunt and talking back greatly obstructed his good intentions.
“I was just offering for obvious reasons. Do you want it or not?”
Eyes narrowed in response to that rather snarky answer from the other, arms folding as she watched him closely. How brave he was- It almost seemed like a challenge in her eyes. Gianna always did enjoy a challenge.
“ There’s no need to be a dick about it. ” There’s no need to be so blunt in response either. That was just her natural tone, unfortunately.
“ I don’t want it. Not when the one offering is such an ass. Keep it for yourself. ”
“You shouldn’t be out here without water.
C’mon, take mine.”
Such a nice offer- It was simply unfortunate that the girl he was speaking to wasn’t exactly the most approachable out there.
“ How thoughtful. Though you shouldn’t just assume things- Or approach a girl at random. Next time that may not turn out quite so well for you. Some would think it’s weird, after all. ”
“i was being sarcastic back, dummy.”
“ As was I. But well done, you even figured out how to put it into practice. You’re learning fast, Tobias. ” And cue her reaching up to ruffle his hair, laughing as she does so.
“i get the feeling you’re being sarcastic.”
Cue the slow clapping as she stares at him. “ Well done. You just caught on. It only took you what, fifteen years? ”
“maybe you just like to suffer?”
“ Totally. I’m a complete masochist- Surprise my secret is out. Congratulations- you know me so~ well”
“ – eh? the difference is i’m nice to her, not you. i’m selectively nice with you sometimes, i just feel like messing with you more today.”
“ Hm- That definitely is the difference. You’re awful to me-- Why on earth do I put up with you. You would think I’d have given up by now. ”
“i’d hate to be on your level. that’s like downgrading, literally.”
“ Since your girlfriend’s smaller than me, you realize that you just insulted Cassie more than you insulted me, right? And to think she chooses to willingly put up with this. ”
“– who said that – oh hey, gianna. i almost didn’t see you there.”
How rude. “ Well maybe if you were to get on my level it wouldn’t be so difficult. ”

“ Ew it’s Tobias. ”
“What if we were giants? I would want to be a friendly giant.” A pout and whine simultaneously from the child-like hero. Soon she’d jump from the edge where she sat on, hanging only by her hand, which was gripping the previous sat on spot.
“I want to be a giant because I can barely reach anything nowadays.” She would giggle, still dangling from the building, without a care in the world. She’d wonder if Gianna could even hear her– the wind was pretty loud and now there was a nice amount of distance between them.
“ I’m not sure that any one would think that any giant would be friendly. . . They would think that it would be out to hurt them. ” Laying on her front, looking down to Cassie in an attempt to hear her better. Despite the sun shining, the wind had picked up somewhat- it was difficult to hear her.
Cassie talking about how she couldn’t hear anything made her laugh- She certainly wasn’t overly tall at all, and Gianna liked being taller than her friend honestly. “ Well- You are rather small. You could just climb up to reach something though. ”
Hopping along the building tops, eventually finding a ledge to sit upon, she’d sit to let her legs dangle over the side. With a giggle, her lips would form into a wide smile as she turned to her best friend. “Cops aren’t that bad. They just need a little push from us. That’s why we exist~!”
Long tresses would gently frame her face as the winds pushed alongside them. Her state of worry was almost nonexistence, as if she knew in her gut that taking a break was not risky. After an extended period of time with their line of work, Cassie always felt herself get super tired. Maybe she needed to work out more. “Sit with me. All the people at the bottom look like ants!”
Standing a little further back from the ledge, Gianna watched Cassie as she sat down, shrugging. Personally she wished the cops could at least keep a better eye out for these criminals, but, that would put them out of work she supposed. A little more back-up would be appreciated at times though.
Sitting alongside the girl once prompted too, she leaned forward and glanced down, giving a chuckle. “ You’re right, they do. We’re like giants up here, in comparison.”
A pout would be noticeable on the female’s face. With a sigh, she’d stand from the poor man. Optics would look at the car with a smile. It always was nice to deal with a bad guy before the cops did. Filled that childish dream of hers to the brim. Either way, she’d fix her outfit along with her hair. Perhaps the other got annoyed with Cassie’s behavior, but it somehow it let them make it through tons of bad guys. She could never do it without the other, for sure.
“Yeah– we should get going. Maybe there’s someone else that needs our help?” Digging through her bag for one last thing, she placed a bright yellow daisy by the side of the man. “Let’s get going~?”
A small chuckle was let out as the flower was placed down, a symbol that Cassandra had been there that she placed down every time. It was cute, in her opinion- Something that she personally didn’t do however. She didn’t like all the attention. Gianna shrugged and began briskly walking away, pulling Cassie alongside her and glancing over her shoulder as the car stopped, a few figures getting out and watching them as they disappeared around the corner, out of sight.
“ There’s always someone who needs help. You know what this place is like, ” she sighed. It was all a lot of effort in her opinion- Though she did love knowing she was able to help. “ The police suck. We’re the ones doing all the work. ”
The masked hero had sat upon the unconscious man, looking for something soft for her to sit upon. Her gloved hands daintly adjusted her latex skirt before she looked up at the other. “I hope he is knocked out so no one knows my name. But I did do pretty good~! I think you did well as well. I just hope the cops get here soon before I lay fully on this guy.” A yawn, lavender optics peering from her mask to the sky beyond them both.
Glancing down at their target, nudging him softly with the heel of her boot, making sure not to do any more damage, she laughed quietly. Honestly this man was a pain to track down- He always seemed to just slip through their fingers but this time. . A surprise attack was all they had needed to gain an edge. “ We should leave soon, in that case, ” she said, pulling on one of her sleeves to pull it back into place fully before pointing to a car coming around the corner- The authorities arriving to find out what had happened.
“ They’re coming- They’re bound to ask questions if we wait longer. ”
Sirens all around, flashing lights from the vehicles parked nearby visible against the buildings looking over the pair of girls, standing together in the middle of said street, a single unconscious being in front of them, sprawled out on the ground. Glancing down, Gianna gave a small laugh before, looking to her companion, she grinned. “ You did great, Cass- That was amazing. Honestly, I forgot just how great you were at this stuff. ”
