Oh boy, this one’s a long time coming. I really should have said this a while ago, but the project is likely to be on indefinite hiatus. I love these movies, I love this game, and I have so much planned, but I’m about to start my master’s degree and with the current way things seem to be going on my end I don’t think I’ll have the energy or time to work at faster than a crawling pace without destroying myself. Thank you so much to everyone who’s stuck with me through my months of silence, but I likely won’t be able to deliver for a long time. I will continue to post when I have updates, but they’ll likely be few and far between. However, we are extremely lucky to be in a fandom that lasted longer than the movies: there is so much fan content out there, and a thriving fan community alongside it. I have nothing but good things to say about them, and highly recommend perusing them in the meantime! James Gunn is still making movies and shows too, and if you love GOTG you’re definitely going to love his other work. I wish all of you safe journeys, take care of yourself and each other, and keep your eyes and hearts to the stars!

thank you so much for the kind words! School’s been taking up all my time since coming up with the idea, and I’ve had a hectic June likely leading into a hectic July. However! I do still love this game! And I want to actually make it! At this rate, I’d say maybe two years if I want a really quality game (which I do). I’m very sorry that the wait will be so long, I’m genuinely frustrated that it’ll take this long, but it’s mostly due to the fact I’m the only one working on this. I have a basic plan, but I still need to fine-tune it, plan the routes specifically, write the script, make the sprites, make the backgrounds, and of course actually code it. When it’s done I’ll probably upload it to itch . io, which should make for easy access and downloading, especially since I am planning on making the game free to play! For now, though, feel free to send asks about anything from the game to headcanons to thoughts about the movies, I’m happy to talk about what I have and it might end up getting me to explore something i otherwise wouldn’t have thought of! Thanks again for the ask, hope the wait ends up worth it!

so, a bit of clarification

So far, I am the only person working on the sim. I am also a full-time student. The game is still getting made, but it’s 6+ routes, each with multiple endings, along with a shit-ton of art, so while it will come out it won’t be for a while. I love this project so much and have no intention of abandoning it, but right now I have no time or energy to work on it more than once in a while. Thank you all so much for the support, I hope you stick around to see where this goes!

Guardians of the Galaxy Dating Sim

So, mostly for shits and giggles, I am planning on making a GotG dating sim! The game would start with the player somehow ending up on the Guardians' ship. The guardians agree to get them back home, and the player has three weeks to romance their favorite space loser. The romancable characters would be Peter, Gamora, Drax, Nebula, Rocket, and Mantis. That is basically all I have so far. If any of y'all would be interested in playing the finished game, have questions or ideas, or would even like to help me make it, then send me a message! In terms of help, I’m looking for anyone with game-making related skills, from background art to character sprites to python coding to writing and editing. Anything helps! Also, please don’t tell James Gunn.
