Just saw a short Meatbun interview that she posted on her wechat account a few days ago, which contains the following points:
She explained the meaning of her nom de plume. Her cat has three names: Meat bun, Veggie bun, and Mimi. Since the cat doesn't like eating any other kind of meat except shrimp, it becomes "Meat bun who doesn't eat meat." Another reason is that Meatbun (the danmei writer) likes eating the doughy skin of meat buns but doesn't like their meat filling.
Besides Ranwan's classic character designs well-known to fans, Meatbun would also like to see Chu Wanning as a little Buddhist monk during his childhood (but Chu Wanning should have hair even as a monk, as Meatbun emphasised)
Meatbun finds the Mo Ran 2.0 storyline relatively more difficult to write, so she'd insert some flashbacks of Taxian-Jun when she feels stuck writing Mo Ran 2.0.
Among all of Chu Wanning's hairstyles, Meatbun likes his high ponytail the most (which is also the hairstyle Chu Wanning is most used to since it's really convenient). Taxian Jun might braid (an unwilling) Chu Fei's hair to see what it's like.
Before the Flower of Eightfold Sorrows took root in Mo Ran's heart, he always tidied Chu Wanning's room for him, since he was shocked by how messy his shizun's room was. Whenever Chu Wanning was totally absorbed by his research and inventions at the Red Lotus Pavillion, Mo Ran would be in the same room tidying things up. Mo Ran always looked forward to seeing the look in Chu Wanning's eyes when Chu Wanning noticed the spotless room after he finished research - Mo Ran found that look really cute, like a cat caught off guard. But those days didn't last long before the Flower of Eightfold Sorrows ruined everything.
