one heck of a reunion @ Georiga
Seeing the expression on Carlâs face, the red head felt a hint of a flush appearing on her pale cheeks.  It hadnât occured to her that heâd be skeptical as well, but it did make sense. After all, even she hadnât entirely believed it would work! âYa, I know it sounds crazy.  I thought it mighta been a dare at first myself, butâŠ" and then like a whirlwind, it seemed Carl finally understood, and he was suddenly talking so fast that Georgia simply blinked at him blankly as she tried to absorb all of the questions heâd just asked her.
"Uncle Carl, youâre so funny!" Clemmy chimed in, giggling as she looked up at the two adults for a lingering moment before looking back at her work, which was, of course, all over the place in terms of colours.Â
Georgia laughed lightly herself. It seemed Carl really hadnât changed that much. He had always been one to get excited easily. Generally she herself only got so excited when it came to equestrian related things, but she thought his enthusiasm was rather attractive actually. At least she always knew he was interested in what she had to say. âI donâ know much about her, though. She was young anâ pretty, with pointy ears.  Her name was Miss Cecilia." she paused thoughtfully, pondering over what heâd said and then smiling sheepishly. âWell, I mean.. I was able to take Clemmy with me, so⊠It might work if Iâm⊠You know.. Carryinâ ya or somethinââŠ" she rubbed the back of her head and laughed nervously, wondering if that were even possible. âI havenât had a chance to really test it out yet, yâknow."Â
The idea of her dad and Carl seeing each other did make her smile, though. Her father seemed to have taken a liking to Carl, and to bugging Georgia about Carl, for that matter. Of course, she paid him no mind, but the old man still liked to bring his name up often enough. âHeâs doinâ great. As nosey as ever." She laughed at the thought and had to fight the urge to roll her eyes. âHe seems to really enjoy havinâ Clemmy around. Heâs always playinâ with her anâ tryinâ to teach her new things.. He says she reminds him of me when I was little, which I suppose I can understand. Although she tries a lot harder in the kitchen than I ever did - I think because she wants to impress ya."
"hmpf. well i'm not the only funny lookin thing around here." carl said with a smirk, obviously looking down at her picture. Actually, he couldn't wait to put it up on his fridge, to hang there as a little reminder of her. Then people would ask about it and he would talk about her like he was a father figure of sorts. He never really had anything to brag about before other than his cooking.
Taking a sip from his cup, Carl listened to Georgia's theory and he just about died of laughter, almost spitting out his drink. "PFFFT AHAHAHA" His cheeks scrunched up to his eyes and he beamed a contagious smile. after he apologized for his outburst of laughter, he wiped a tear from his eye. he hadn't laughed that hard in a good long time. "oh man, heh, please excuse me"
Then Carl's eyes widened as Georgia spoke about her dad. It was great to hear that he was so comfortable with clemy. even though hes a great guy and Carl knew he would never steer her wrong. It's just that even after he and Georgia convinced him that clemy was a great addition to their family, he still had these lingering feelings of worry. He didn't know how friendly or involved he would be with clemy, and to hear this took a great weight off his shoulders. "thats great to hear. and clemy doesnt have to try and dazzle me, i was already impressed the first day i met her" he looked at clemy and smiled, glad she was surrounded by such supportive people, unlike those who had left her behind. "although, your pictures lookin a bit like that souffle Katie baked last week..." he leaned in close to clemy and loudly whispered, "in case you were wondering...that's a bad thing" he ruffled her hair and leaned back into the couch.Â
