Lucanis Dellamorte- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
At least I know I'm doing it.
bellara and davrin banter about lucanis
When Lucanis tries to offer dating advice to Emmrich late in the game, he admits that his only 2 ideas are gifting knives or getting coffee.
If we think back to the early game, soon after meeting him, Rook buys Lucanis a wyvern-tooth dagger (much to his surprise & delight as we also learn that he loves wyverns) and accompanies him to his favorite café. There, Lucanis gets “all romantic about roasts”, as noted by Illario.
HOWEVER, I am inclined to think that Lucanis was just yapping because he was feeling romantic about ROOK. I mean, Rook just showed up and unknowingly gave him the best little date ever. That was like a 3 out of 2. Instinctively. Man was cooked from the start.
He probably stared blankly at the ceiling of the pantry that night, equal parts giddy and miserable. Feeling that crush start to take form, while also feeling devastated and terrified of what he’s become, of what he could turn into if he slips, of the damage he could do.
“Mierda.”
Yes! Truly it was his ideal date and it’s just so sweet but also sad. It must have felt like one of his romance books come to life, but confusing, because this doesn’t happen to him. He’s just met this person, and he’s here for the contract to end all contracts. And then in the privacy of his room, all the bad, painful shit comes rushing back to ruin it for him. It understandably scares him away from getting flirty again for a long time, no matter how many pink heart responses we throw at him. Luckily, Rook is patient. Very patient. We still got through to him enough to open those doors in his head. Imagine if Rook hadn’t gotten him that knife and flirted about coffee with him and kept telling him he cares no matter how awkward Lucanis got about it.
I genuinely don’t know what we’d have to do to give him a better second date. Maybe riding in on an actual wyvern. And also the wyvern carries Illario off to drop him in the middle of Rialto Bay to die, but that’s more for me than Lucanis.
I am just so emotional about this pretend man.
do you think lucanis puts his hair up when he cooks
"You like to walk a little too close to the edge..." "So do you."
LUCANIS DELLAMORTE ❤️🔥 Dragon Age: The Veilguard (2024)
[ID: two gifs of Lucanis from Dragon Age Veilguard. He's smirking slightly and leans against a wall as Rook's hand gently touches his chest. End ID]
Lucanis in your party at Weisshaupt is the funniest thing in Veilguard. Man does not hold back about how BAD shit is. The entire time he's just like "This is bullshit! You know this is bullshit right!?" but goddammit he swore to follow to the ends of the earth and if you tell him to stab a cloud he's gonna do it
"They keep adding horns and it keeps getting worse!" Is the funniest line in Dragon Age history
ppl are rlly trying to defend being on your phone during a movie in the theater what is going on
using your phone in a movie theater is a symptom of long covid
the defense of being on your phone in a movie theater is who cares? by your own admission, you should be paying attention to the movie. so why do you care what other people are doing? you’re meant to be paying attention to the movie.
I DONT WANNA PAY BILLS I WANNA USE MY MONEY FOR FOOD AND LIL GIFTS FOR MYSELF AND MY LOVED ONES
this post was a big hit in the adults who have bills to pay fandom
Headlines across eight years. Who you vote for really does matter. None of these headlines delve into the Boar's Head listeria outbreak because I can only post ten photos in one post. But the slaughter house self regulate headline? Yup, that's why.
Trump's rollback of regulations is also responsible for the BrucePac recall for listeria that's currently at 11.8 million pounds and counting.

The Beauty of Vampyr | Motionresque [x]
VAMPYR (2018) dev. Don’t Nod
RAGE: The Vampire loses control, and unleashes the beast within to do their dirty work. The Beast teleports itself on targets around them, striking with an unfettered fury. Because of its dark nature, this type of ability cannot be used too often.
So I looked this up and the whole story is wild.
Basically, market research for japanese bakeries determined that a) they sell more breads and pastries the more different varieties they have, and b) japanese bakery customers prefer items which are not wrapped, because individually wrapped things give the impression of being like, preserved or something instead of fresh and good I guess? So the obvious solution is to sell as many different kinds of unwrapped breads and pastries as you can.
But! In actual practice, that’s a nightmare. No packaging means no barcodes to scan, so the cashier needs to know all like 200 different (often very similar) items by heart and add them up manually, which means training new employees is a slow and painful process and customer service in general suffers badly. And having a person handle all those un-packaged foodstuffs to count them or examine them, in addition to being slow and clumsy, is unsanitary as fuck.
So one bakery chain owner approached this computer guy in 2007 asking for a system to automate the checkout process. It took five years and the company barely survived a financial crisis in the middle, but long story short they developed a highly specialized AI that will look at the pile of bread a customer picked out and automatically identify everything, tally it up, and charge them correctly, while the live cashier is free to make small talk or help people out or whatever. The whole process is simple, fast, sanitary, and pleasant for customers and employees alike, and to an outsider it looks like fucking magical bullshit.
But then in 2017 a doctor saw an ad for this bakery scanning system and it occurred to him that cells under a microscope don’t look all that different from weird loaves of bread. And it turns out that yeah, you can use almost all of the same code to analyze a tissue sample and pick out any potentially cancerous cells in it. Other people have started buying the same program for everything from analyzing the readout from big physics experiments to labeling charms and amulets for sale at shrines to detecting problems in the wiring on jet engines.
I knew pastry would save the world one day.
the human body is an engineering marvel. I sneeze in bright light. if I dont get enough sunlight on my skin I get tired and sad and have to drink a lot of milk to fix it. standing too much hurts, but sitting too much also hurts. if I get a virus, my body will increase its temperature in an attempt to cook it, which also cooks my brain cells. toenails exist. I have to turn the radio down to see better when I drive. there are 17 genes dictating what my hair texture is, but it completely changes when the air is too humid. yawning is contagious. there are more species of bacteria living in my body than there are species of birds in the entire world. every few months I grievously injure my neck by "sleeping on it weird." it took seven million years of human evolution to form me, and now I'm afraid of phone calls.
