Unable to help himself, Jack leaned in and stole another kiss from his flower maiden. "Come on, now—" He whispered against her lips, reaching up to brush her long bangs away from her face. “Let’s get going. I can send someone to come get everything; and we can buy everything else that you don’t have.”

Jack lifted her up into his arms and carried her out of the dark apartment without another word, eager to get her back to what would become their shared home in the months to come.

A giggle left her lips as she wrapped arms around his neck and clung to him. "Alright..." she agreed, kissing his cheek now. "But... If I'm to live with you. May I at least help out? I can cook and clean and keep your gardens pretty." she offered. In truth, when the sun hit her face she flinched, maybe she'd been in the dark too long. But her white knight, her beloved prince had come to rescue her at long last. "--I love you, you know that...?"

"I don’t flatter."

Jack held onto Shizuka’s hand and led her to the small outdoor table that he’d had set up among the flowers, where a pitched of sweet iced tea, tinted pink with strawberry, awaited the two of them, along with two tall glasses.

"You’ve been working out here all day. I figured you’d be thirsty."

Her cheeks still a cherry red as she went with him rather happily, she was surprised at times like this he couldn't hear how loud her heart was as it raced, "Thank you." she replied, brown eyes twinkling brightly.

It was in her mind, a storybook romance, the king and the peasant, but more than that, they were best friends. This was her world and she'd not leave this wonderful world for a moment if she could help it. "--I was thirsty yes, you always seem to know just what's on my mind."
