Infographics: What are the most popular services used by Y Combinator startups?

Have you ever wondered what kind of services are the most popular among Y Combinator alumni? Well, we did.

We built CompeteMonkey because even though we were curious about what we might find, we were too lazy to do this manually.

How does it work? It automatically parses any given website and shows you what services the site uses (at the moment, it can track 300+ JavaScript based services).

3 Simple Tools to Track Your Competitors

You are busy running your business and don't have time to track your competitors. Don't worry because these 3 tool will do it for you. All of them are free and once you do the initial setup you can forget about them. You'll automatically receive e-mail notifications about the activities of your competitors.

1. Google Alerts

Add a name of your competitors or their products and when something new will appear in the Google search, you will receive an e-mail notification. Google Alerts is great for monitoring PR and SEO activities of your competitors.

2. Twilert

Twilert is very similar to Google Alerts, but for Twitter search. Choose username of your competitors or hashtag for your industry. Twilert will help you to track the communication between your competitors and their customers.

3. CompeteMonkey

Just add an URL address of your competitors and CompeteMonkey will send you an e-mail notification when they start using a new service, such as Olark, ClickTale and/or 300+ others. The services your competition uses can tell you a lot about their plans.
