I know it sounds crazy, but my interest in the Dodgers has faded lately—and it has nothing to do with wins or losses. I started following them in 2023, and that version of the team just felt like my team. Objectively, maybe there wasn’t anything especially remarkable about them. But they meant something to me. And lately, I’m just not getting that same feeling.
Part of me feels guilty, like I’m abandoning the team my dad loved so much. But the truth is, most of today’s roster wasn’t even on the team when he passed away in 2022. So in a way, it’s not really his team anymore either.
That could all change again. Somewhere down the road I may change my mind and fall in love with the Dodgers all over again. You never know.
Till then, I think I’m going to leave this photo blog as it is—a tribute to the Dodgers as I saw them over the past couple of years. I’ll still post about them now and then, along with the other 29 MLB teams, over on my other blog, @conniesmlb.
