“It is refreshing, but I think I’m good for now. There is a shower at your Nana’s, right?” He asked. “Oh no, we can’t forget that. It smells too good to leave it here.”
He got ready to go as well, keeping his sweater on, and pulling on his backpack before taking her hand. “Let’s go,” He echoed, smiling at her.
“Well yes, of course there’s a shower” she chuckled as she made sure all the lights were off. She then closed the door and locked it with the keys. “It’s a lovely place” she said sincerely as she laced their fingers together. “Completely different to New York or London” she grinned as they walked out of the building and towards the apparition spot.
“There’s a lot of green and my nana has this large garden with flowers and plants and trees...” she sighed rather dreamily. “And this time of year it’s nice because it’s not too hot, during summer is the worst” she explained.

He scoffed playfully. “That can’t be true.”
He nodded, “I’m all set. Unless you think I should shower? You’ve asked me two or three times now. Do I smell?” He asked, leaning down to sniff himself. “But I packed everything up when you were in the shower.”
She grinned but then shook her head. “You don’t smell bad” she assured him. “But I always found it quite nice and refreshing to take a shower or a bath whenever I’m feeling blue” she admitted before standing up. “Alright, I can’t forget the pie” she said as she pulled out her wand and summoned it.
Once it was there, she casted a spell around it so it wouldn’t get any dirt on it as they walked to the apparition spot. She then summoned her black hat, her bagpack and jacket, putting on the latter one first then hanging the bagpack on her back and finally the hat, fixing her hair just a bit so it would look nice. She then took the pie and looked at him. “Let’s go” she grinned, offering him her hand.

He grinned and leaned back against the couch. “Just because no one has told you that they’ve missed it doesn’t mean that they didn’t. Just means that I was the first to say it. Which might be weird, but I’m glad you think it’s not.” He ran a hand through his hair and looked around.
Connie chuckled. “I’m pretty sure no one but you missed my shampoo though” she grinned. “Do you have everything ready or would you like to take a shower before we leave?” She offered.

“Hey,” He grinned up at her and chuckled to himself as she leaned against him. He took a deep breath and looked down at her. “You smell good. I missed the smell of your shampoo. Is that a little weird? It is.” He nodded.
“You did?” She asked, grinning. “It’s not weird, it’s nice... I don’t think anyone had ever missed the smell of my shampoo before” she chuckled as she rested her feet on the coffee table.

“That’s right. I did know that. All I have to do is remember which way the numbers are going.” He said. “And that should be easy because they go up so… shouldn’t be a problem.” He nodded when she said that she was going to show and automatically leaned down a bit when she went to peck his cheek. It seemed as though some habits still hadn’t been broken. “I can do that.” He nodded, walking over to the couch and taking a seat as she walked off. He his bags down beside him and summoned his backpack, deciding that he should go through it all and see what he had. He’d actually brought a couple pairs of slacks, three socks (not pairs, just three individual socks), the jumper he’d pulled on before he left and two different pairs of pajamas. There was also a paper bag full of toiletries like shampoo and toothpaste, and a crushed peanut-butter sandwich at the very bottom. He took everything out, threw out the sandwich and then refolded and organized everything. He knew he wouldn’t need coats in New Orleans, so he draped them over the arm of the couch, but he put everything else back into the backpack.
She smiled warmly at him and nodded. “Alright, I’ll be right back” she nodded before turning around and walked to her bedroom first and then her bathroom. Connie took a nice hot shower and took her time to, not only wash her hair but to think of everything that was going on, how she could help Maven to deal with this
Once she finished, she combed her hair, got dressed and walked over to the living room where Maven was. “Hello there” she grinned, sitting down and leaned against him.

“It’s easier than London” she assured him. “You just need to see a map” she grinned, still holding his hand. “Are you hungry?” She asked as she reached for her keys inside her purse.
He nodded. He wasn’t too worried about it, if all else failed, he had her to help him out, didn’t he? “I am good at maps.” He said. “I’m alright,” He shrugged. “We are headed to a dinner, aren’t we?” He grinned, trying not to feel nervous about the prospect of dropping in on her Nana.
“Well, Manhattan is very simple, all the streets are numbers so that makes it very easy” she grinned, opening the door. “And yes, it’s a dinner” she grinned, closing the door behind them. “I have to take a shower before going” she said softly as she took of her jacket and hang it. “Why don’t you wait for me? Make yourself at home, if you want to eat or drink something just help yourself?” She grinned and leaned over and pecked his cheek.

@rosierfamily
It had been a long day at thehospital and all that Maven wanted was to grab something to eat and then cuddlewith his very pregnant wife until they fell asleep, pretty much like they didevery night. However, when he walked into their home he couldn’t help but tofrown at the scene in display.
Connie was there, her stomach wasimpossibly large and there was something on the floor, something that she hadobviously dropped. He could tell that she was crying and that made him worryeven more. “Hey, love, what’s wrong?” He asked immediately, leaving his briefcaseaside and approached to her. “Are you okay? Are you in pain? What happened?” Heasked quickly as he could feel the panic slowly starting to take power of him.He never knew what to do whenever she cried.
She simply shook her head as she sobbedquietly. “I d-dropped my apple” she sniffed miserably. “And the dog ate it” she whined slightly stomping her bare footagainst the cold floor, unable to stop her tears. “I can’t bend over anymores-so I couldn’t p-pick it up and…” she continued, getting more upset as shespoke and the more upset she got, the harder she cried, making Maven moreconfused than ever. “And I can’t see myfeet anymore!” She finished before covering her face with both hands as shekept on crying.
He pressed his lips together, forming a thin line and doing a big effort to not laugh at her since this wasall hilarious and nothing too serious, but she was crying and he didn’t want tomake things worse. "Hey, hey…” he said kindly, even smiling a little as hegently took her hands, removing them from her face. “We all know Mariette is veryrude” he tried teasing as he brushed her tears away with his thumbs. “And thereare more apples over there” he added, looking at the exaggerated pile of greenand red apples. She was eating them constantly and the last time they ran outof them, she cried for half an hour until he got back with more.
“And about your stomach…” he said patiently, moving one of his hands to it. “It’s just for a couple of days… our boy isgoing to be big” he grinned and pressed a kiss on her forehead. “Andpersonally, I think you look beautiful” he said sincerely. “Is like you getmore beautiful with each day that passes and– no, no, that wasn’t supposed tohappen… why are you crying again?” He frowned.
“B-because that’s r-really nice” Conniesniffed. “Y-you are s-so nice” she mumbled, leaning against him and buried her faceon his chest. “And I l-love you so much” she added, wrapping her arms aroundhim.
Maven smiled before reaching downand pressed his lips to her hair. “And I love you so much too” he repliedsincerely. “Now, let’s go and let me peel you one of those apples, yes?”
