During the last race weekend in Abu Dhabi I was asked to take a quick portrait of @sebastianvettel for the promo artwork for Sebastian Vettel - For One Last Time video which is now out on the @astonmartinf1 youtube account. (Go watch it, it’s great!) I knew I wouldn’t have much time to shoot Seb as his weekend was jam packed. So I had to plan something super quick. I was asked what sort of shot I thought I should take for it and immediately I knew what I wanted to take. One of my inspirations in F1 photography is @vladimirrys and his shot of Seb (second photo) is such an iconic photo of a young Seb taken years ago. I wanted to take an updated version of it as I thought it would fit perfectly for the cover. I also think it’s really cool seeing them side by side! Thank you for the inspiration Vlad! I have always wanted to see Koalas in the wild. I’ve been to Australia a few times before but never managed to see any in the wild. Until this morning. A benefit to jet lag kicking my arse on this trip meant I headed out early for a hike and actually ended up seeing 5 Koalas over the course of a few hours, including this mum and her young baby. The final lap helmet. Nice to be next to my younger brother Eoin on it for @sebastianvettel’s final race in F1. Fun fact, in the photo of Eoin, he’s wearing one of Sebs actual race suits from a prep day in the studio, I needed someone to wear the race suit to sort the lighting out so it was good for when Seb got there the day after.
