Today, marks to be one of the hardest days in my life. It is with great sadness and heavy heart that a loved one, Katrina Lazarte, has moved on. Nini, was special, she was the best in all of us. She was a fighter, the bravest and strongest whom would take on any challenge. A joyful friend, whom would make everybody happy, smile, and laugh. A loving and obedient daughter. But most importantly, to me, Nini was my other half and the love of my life. She was the person that I would run to and talk to the most. The person I can rant all my feelings and heart out. She would be the person to take care of me when I needed it the most even without the need for me to spell it out for her. She was just right there. She understood me the most, there was nobody like her and we can talk about anything. She was indeed the single best thing that happened in my life. There’s so much more that we have not done, I will always remember you asking me every month, “Kailan tayo mag-Ramen?”, now I’ll be asking, “Sino na kasama ko mag-Ramen?”. It was our go to meal, we found comfort in it and we found comfort in each other. You are mainly part of the reason I am who I am today. I guess we won’t have our happy ending anytime soon, our plans of travelling together, trying ridiculous adventures, eating exotic food, collecting funkos, owning a home, get rich together, being able to get married and see you walk down an aisle, raising kids, and growing old together. Nini these were our plans, but I guess I’ll have to carry them out for us. I miss you more than ever. As we mourn for the passing of Nini, a daughter, friend, colleague and loved one. I do hope that we cherish all of the moments we had with her, may it be good or bad. A part of her lives in all of us.
