This week is our final pitching of the product. We are the first group that had pitch last Tuesday at that moment our pitch consumed about 5 minutes. I was a little disappointed in our presentation its because nang lapas mi sa time. But then I guess naa sa average among presentation. We had presented every requirements or let us say assignments.Though there are few questions that we did not answered but most of it naa answeran namu. Back then, our instructor told us to email the codes of our products including the assignnments and told us also that we have to show to him or demonstrate our product on the next day which is Wednesday but not necessary nga kami tanan mag present. After the presentation my team mates told me that there are new features added to our product. I was thinking that I hope I can pass this subject. Because of this subject daghan ko ug na learn from my mistakes and from the mistakes of our group.

I really want our group to be part of the top 10 however dili pa gyud guro good enough among group. But base from it I had learned so many things that I really have to value or should I say “ I will never forget”.

MY BLOG

For this week, since we divided our group into two and the three of us namely I, Christian, and Gallarita did the assignments. So Yesterday, we have checked each others work, we did some revising and finalizing of the user journey, user persona, and story board. Right now, we are still thinking of what might be the best channels that we are going to choose. So we decided that we have to read the pdf that Sir Mabulay posted in the slack for us to be able to understand the specific field in each market channels.

Last night we’ve conducted a meeting at exactly 6 pm. From there we finalized the slide dicks that Romano made. After that we started to divide the slide presentation because each of us needs to pitch during the final pitching.

I and Gallarita are worried right now actually its because we have failed this subject during the midterm. That is why during finals we really facilitate to conduct a meeting, follow up each others work and cooperate in the team. But still we were thinking if we could pass in this subject. I am really worried right now because I was thinking if our instructor will appreciate my cooperation in the team and I really hope so. So for now positive thinking sako na mopasar ko. Compared to other groups nga bisag dili ana ka chada ang amo we did our best naman pod.

For this week, we have decided that we have to divide our team into two in which I, Gallarita, and the ece student will be responsible for making the assignments. While Romano and Mayor are the one to develop and finish our app. In our case, I am the one to make the story board, the ece student will be the one to make the user persona, and gallarita will be the one to finish the user journey. Wala pa daw niya na human ang user journey its because na busy daw cya. So in making the story board, ga libog ko if how i would be able to make it. In fact my teammates also don’t know how to make the story board so it really makes me worry. Right now I was still thinking on how to do it and doing some research also. And I think I have to ask the other groups like the sakaygayan and the postdroid if gi unsa nila pagbuhat sa ila.

Also, we’ve been struggling right now cause the final pitching of the product of every startups will start on Thursday I think up to October 7,2016. So all of us will be busy.

13th techno blog

For this week I did not really contribute for the team because I am busy for this week. During Monday to Wednesday, we the fifth year are preparing for the thesis proposal but unfortunately the proposal was been postponed. And in Thursday to Saturday we have a convention for the Electrical students in Iligan so all the fifth year students were participating.

So, all i did was to assist Romano in making the empathy map while I was in Iligan and I tried to suggest something just to add up on her ideas.. So I hope ma consider ni Sir akong performance karun.

12th blog

For this week, we have confronted our instructor just to update our user journey. At that moment, as we pitch to him the user journey. Well it went okay naman but we did not put the rating of the user, so that is the comment or part that our instructor want to see.

Sir mabulay instructed us that for next week we have to update our new user journey, the wire frame should be done, and also the empathy map. So we divided the task according to the following:

wire framing - jeyvin tambulian

wire framing final editing and interview to the early adopter - Mayor

empathy map - Romano

update of user journey and interview to the user or parents - Gallarita

I think our ECE teammate was assisting Gallarita.

11th week blog

For this week, I have informed our CEO that the deadline of the prototyping of the product is by next week. I told him also that we have another assignment which is the empathy map and in every week’s class one of the member of every groups will present their group assignment. In myself, I felt really tense and problematic about it cause we still did not finished the user journey. Since our CEO was busy I have made a move so that we could have a meeting but unfortunately, my other team mates are busy. I think I contacted every one twice for us to have a meeting but they did not come. So, for the third time I have told them that we will be having our meeting in the facebook just by chating. Our agenda in the meeting was; the finalization of the user journey, the prototyping of the product or the wire framing, and the empathy map.

In the first agenda, which is the finalization of the user journey since our CEO was not present I have facilitate the meeting. I have told RJ Gallarita, the one who made the user journey that he should upload the user journey he made and told every one to double check his work. After checking it, he directly sent it to Sir Mabulay in the slack at that time our instructor was online.

In the second agenda which is the prototyping of the product, I have asked Romano about what would be our steps in making the prototype. So she told everyone about her ideas. In the first place, I really dont know how to do it but Romano told me that it was only drag and drop. So I decided that I will be the one to make the wire framing and told them that we should have to finish it until monday. So for now Im still working on it and searching for some video tutorials about Mockplus.

In the third agenda, the empathy map, I was really worried about it cause starting tommorrow Sir mabulay want us to present it during our class schedule. We still have not start making it yet. Because in doing this the prototyping of the product should be done first, just in my opinion. I open it up to my teammates that in doing the empathy map we really have to interview our early adopter and to do this dapat ang prototype is humana and it should be validated already. So I told them that starting this week we have to update to our instructor every progress we have made. Because last week and this week also walami ka adto kang sir. And it was really a big problem for us.

Also, right now we were planning about the start up competition because we are one of the selected groups that will participate in the start up competition. However the submission of the requirements is ato rang september 1, 2016 nag start bang! unsaon pag chika,.haha

This week my team mates confront to our instructor and present the validation board and the lean canvas. In our case we have a two validation and lean canvas for our product user and customer. I am not there during the presentation because I was really having a fever that time and really busy for our thesis. Ahm, I am the one who made one of the validation board which is the side of the customer. During the time that I made it, I felt so uneasy realizing that I think like sayup ako gibuhat. And after making it I just sent it to Mayor and told him to edit it because Im not really sure about it If it’s right or wrong. So a day after, I have asked to Romano about what happens to the presentation and she told me that it’s okay.

I have told them also that starting this week every group should have to update about the progress of their specific product. So that our instructor and us would be on the same page until the semester is done. Unfortunately, wala mi ka adto kang sir. Our CEO told us that we will having a meeting next week and after that we are going to update dayun daw. For now, we are still thinking about what we are going to do and how should we make the user journey and the user interface. I told the group to search about wire frame tool I think nag search sila. I was thinking that it’s not easy to make and gaka struggle ko. However, everything has a solution. I think we could really make it though it will not be perfect but there is our instructor guiding us to proper path.

Yesterday, we were having a chat with my groupmates at facebook. Back then,we were discussing about the user journey and user interface.We decided that huna2 sami kong unsaon. And every one was felt sorry regarding with our grades and even for not really doing our 100 percent support and contribution of the team. Still we are positive that we could pass this subject. Hopefully.

last friday nag pitch mi and from it I found out that we still have many things to improve and there are also many chances and information that have been wasted. During that time, our presentation is not good and even the problem is not clear in which malahi ang pagsabot s reader or investor.

Daghan kayu ug correction si sir sa among slides and daghan pami e utro ato. Most specifically in our slides it should be contain of 10 words per slide but then ang amo is nanglapas. Tapos ang dating sa amo kai pang reporting kayu. Sir Mabulay told us that “ pwede na daw dili maminaw and investor pag in ato ang dating”. So far okay ang uban and I think we still need to interview s users and sa mga households nga naay 10,000 pesos above ang monthly income in order to get more informations and para ma tarung namu ang amo product.

For now, gahulat pako when mi mag meeting, wala paman pod nagpa meeting si Mayor.

For this week’s experience, our team encountered a very risk decision because atong last Wednesday pami nag decide nga mag change ug product. It happen becuase atong una nga simana wala gyud mi nka meeting about finalization s amung product and I found out nga though murag naa jod koy ma innovate ato but I felt like hustle cya for us kai patented tong gravity light so that is why nag suggest jd ko sakong mga kauban nga mag meeting me atong wednesday afternoon if unsa gyud amo buhaton. At that moment, I told them about my problem regarding with the gravity light innovations and thanks God they agreed with me so after a moment nag brainstorming me for another product and we decided nga among e product is ang event booking. After that ditso dayun me nag adto kang Engr. Mabulay and from there we discussed kung unsa gyud amo product.

On the other day, we conducted an interview in McDonald, Jollibee, Luxe Hotel, and Grand Capris. Among this four only the Luxe Hotel rejected our business proposal because they said that they already have an existing system for online event booking. After that, nag adto mi kang Engr. Mabulay para epa approve among idea but then it was really frustrating because partial approved lang si Sir and he really want us to send a business letter to the main office of McDonald and Jollibee para iyang e approve. So pagka friday morning nag pasa mi and pagka hapon ge submit namo kang sir tong letter nga naay confirmation nga na recieved sa manager sa McDonald ug sa Jollibee.

Finally, pag adto naku kang sir pagka hapon na approved ang amo “Yehey” I think 4:30 pm pako naabtan kog 7 pm ug hinulata kay daghan kayu ga linya para lang magpa approve.

techno pitch

Our team decided na ang gravity light amo e pitch and last Friday until yesterday we participated in the techno camp. From there, they mentor us how to pitch our product and how to make a slide from it.

Yesterday, we had pitch our product which is the gravity light and from the beginning I know that the judges will not gonna visualize or recognize what our product is. So during the pitching competition, I think all the competitors kai ilang product is all about software or apps. We are the only group that is hardware ang product. So, at that time, I already had a feeling na ma embarrassed lng mi. I am so very disappointed on the way how I answer the questions of the investors and I think it is the most stupidest thing I have done. Honestly, dli jod kayu namu to ma explain ug tarung kai wala mi proof nga nai pakita and isa pa wla pami naka himu ato na product so during the Q and A portion those questions can not be answer by just the theory itself because it have to be made and perform some experiments regarding from it. However, kung gibutangan guro namu to ug picture sa existing nga gravity light in the africa I think medyo ma gets sa investors ang amo product hahahaha. And tell them also kong unsa amo e innovate ato so I guess in that part mi na sayup and then kulang pod ata mi ug pagsabot sa theory.

All in all, though wala mi nangandoy na ma top 11 but gisayangan mi. And also, I had learned a lesson from it nga kong mag pitch ka and then imung product is hardware then dapat mahimu jod nimu cya before nimu e pitch tas dapat naka patent na pod. And for me pod, mas preferable ang mga apps.

week4 blog

This week wala me nka conduct ug interview for the class record transparency ug automated watering system. Sige ko follow up if when me mag interview but then busy ata akong mga kaubn kai si CEO kai dili man mo repl. All I do nlang is nag research for the patent of the gravity light and find out if unsa akong e innovate ato. I think that gusto akong mga kauban atong gravity light na e pursue to namu kai wala mn gyud nag bali bali sila nga mag interview.

Yesterday, supposed to be mag meeting me but then due to different schedules that we have wala na dayun, ang agenda unta is kung unsa amung e pitch this coming friday. Well ugma is monday, ako ang mangusog nga mag meeting gyud mi para mka sabot na and para maka assign mi ug sched just to meet our instructor. Well I think ma kaya ni namu.

3rd week blo

This week is the pitching of ideas in every groups. Last Thursday, we pitch our ideas and it went okay naman. Though there some comments and suggestions but it really feels great.

At that moment, as we started the pitch about the three market areas that we have chosen including it’s specific solutions for the problems in each areas. Well, for the class record transparency our target in this project are the private schools in which our instructor told us to interview the administration and it’s decision maker and find out if they are interested with it. And for the automated watering system also, we have to interview some households for us to identify if naa bay demand or need ani nga system. Finally, for the gravity light ganahan among instructor ani but then need niya makita ang patent sa gravity light so our instructor told us if we are going to pursue the gravity light tagalan daw mi niya ug one more week just to find the patent of this project and present it to him.

Last Wednesday,the discussion tackles about the three market areas that we are going to choose as a team, including the top players in each market areas and also we are instructed to perform in the class next meeting these three market areas that have been chosen in which, the representative of every start up groups are going to discuss or explain why these specific market areas and its specific top players have been chosen.

So far, I think one of the problems that we are dealing for now is the proper management of our time because each of us have a different schedule and it is really hard for us to find an exact time to gather just to conduct a meeting. But i think we are not the only group that are experiencing this kind of problem. Anyway, during our meeting last Thursday, after some sort of brainstorming and discussions, the market areas like education, agriculture, and renewable energy have been chosen. Under the area of education we have chosen the DepEd as the top player in this field. In this area, there are many problems that until now the teachers are still finding for some solutions and one of the solutions that our CEO come up with is having a Class Record Transparency. Well in my case, I doubt if we could really do that but I guess we have to. While in the agriculture, the top player that we choose is the AgriSA and the automated watering system was been proposed by Ms. Romano as a solution. And Abengoa for the renewable energy as the top player and the suggested solution under this area is the gravity light.

As of now, I was really amazed for the cooperation of my teammates and their sincerity in this subject because I think it pushes me to do my best to contribute and help them hahahaha charoot.!!

Moreover, my best suits are in the field of Electrical Engineering and a little knowledge about programming and also I LOVE LEARNING. While my weakness is I think girls hahaha. Finally, I am really interested in the renewable energy and also in IOT.

#2ndweek experience

Before the day of our first class in techno , I heard from my friends in section A EE5 that there will be a collaboration of students coming from different courses in Engineering. And ingun pod nila is dapat daw five members in each groups nga naay CPE, EE, ME, and ECE. In that time it kind of makes me a little bit worried because wla koy kaila na students in other courses and in addition to that ulawun pod ko na pagka tao. Naka overthink ko na basin wala koy mka groupmates if mag ulaw ulaw ko so I decided nga dapat mawala akong pagka ulawon.

On the next day, I was sitting on the lobby of engineering building waiting for my classmates to come and with a mindset na dapat maka kita nakug group mates.. Afterwards, ni duol sa ako ang isa ka girl she asked me if EE student ba ko so I said “ yes” and she said “ I am Dioanna Princess Romano a CPE student, nangita mi ug isa ka EE student s among group pwede ka?”.. So gi grabbed nako ditso.
