I was rewatching some of the Tinker Bell Fairies movies earlier and I still can't get over the character design changes. They look too similar, whereas in the books every design was unique. Vidia's change especially bothers me. How did they go from this...

...to this??

It's been a while since I've read the books, but her personality seems off, too. She acts way too much like a cliché "mean girl" in the first movie and goes out of her way to sabotage Tink even when it would mean bad things for all fairies and possibly the world? She gets more logical in the third movie and is actually kind of funny there, I'll give her that, but still.

Also, is it just me or does her voice reeaaally not suit her?

It's worse that they updated Vidia's design in a book.

One is complex, the other is a joke. It has the vibes of "This point is too sharp." They stripped everything interesting in her design making her read as more desperate. I will always love book Vidia more, the writers of the movies did not understand what made her so compelling. (she was a recluse)

I also think Nicole Sullivan would have been a much more fitting voice for Vidia in the movies compared to Pamela, yes- even reformed Vidia. It's a specific type of rasp that makes her look over arrogant but characters like Shego actually sound mean, like Nicole's voice has a bite to it.

This design change is honestly why I am a huge Ring of Belief defender. Rework your movie all you want, don't water down my Vidia.

I don't know how to feel about the fact that second one is almost a similar art style. At least all the books about the movies I'd seen were clearly the movie versions, with a CGI or CGI-turned-2D look. I mean, technically, I guess it's better since the art style is nicer, but it kind of bugs me how it feels more like a replacement this way. What book is this??

It's funny that you mention Nicole Sullivan, because I always thought movie Vidia kind of sounded like she's trying to do an impression of her. But it doesn't sound quite right. I definitely would like to hear a Nicole Sullivan version of the character, because as you said, it works really well for Shego.

It would be my second choice for her after what I originally imagined when reading the books, which was a more classic transatlantic villainess sound, like a mix between Cruella and Maleficent. I probably imagined it like that because of the way she was always going around calling everyone "darling" and "dearest".

Oh, that name sounds familiar. I believe I heard about it a while ago, but I can't remember the details.

More Hazbin Sims 3:

I made Katie Killjoy dislike children, then coincidentally later I made the egg boiz, and it made the most sense proportionally for them to be children...and I decided to group the VoxTek Employees...which means Katie is stuck living with "children".. 😆

Niffty and Baxter already found their way to each other on their own. 😆 Valentino was out for a stroll and saw them hanging out by the VoxTek Employees building.

Had Vincent visit Rosie for the first time and there was a cop at her house. Investigating her for cannibalism, maybe? 😆

But then the cop went outside and started playing guitar outside her house - maybe he's infatuated with her and she plans to make him her next meal.

Misc. Sims 3 Hazbin stuff:

Vincent's early relationships:

-best friends with Velvette

-distant friends with Valentino

-acquaintances (but the green bar is about halfway to friendship, I think) with Alastor

-low acquaintances with everyone else

-I had Vince compliment Vel on her appearance and she thought he was flirting, oops. It was a platonic compliment, girl! You're into fashion!

-"Vincent learned that Alastor is charismatic"

He sure did. 😆

-For some weird reason, Lucifer and Lilith are getting loads of visits from random NPCs. Maybe all the citizens are trying to get on their good side.

LUCIFER TRIED TO HUG SOME RANDOM WOMAN IN HIS HOUSE WHILE LILITH WAS SLEEPING IN BED

The random lady did not accept the hug.

Maybe Lucifer was just trying to be friendly and give a goodbye hug and it came off as awkward-

Now he's going to bed with Lilith.

-I had Vincent gossip to Alastor...and "Lucifer flirted with Lilith" is really what he came up with. VINCENT ALREADY LEARNED THEY'RE MARRIED. THIS ISN'T NEWS.

But hey, Alastor laughed? Maybe it was a pity laugh. Maybe he was laughing at how silly it was. 😆

-Alastor and Vincent chatted for a long time in the Morningstars' house while Lu and Lilith were in bed. They didn't even tell them to get out yet.

Al got tired and left, right before Lucifer woke up and looked at Vox and the random lady like, "You're still here??"

Vincent got kicked out and didn't appreciate it. I had him talk to the random lady and I think she fell in love with him at first sight- Kidding, but there was a weird romantic sounding jingle and she said, "We have so much in common, I'd love to get to know you better."

What do you have in common with him?? And how do you know? You only just greeted him!

Funny how Vincent originally went to introduce himself to the Morningstars, but the second he saw Alastor was also there he immediately went for him and decided to ignore everyone else. 🤣

Soo...the neighbourhood will notice that Alastor thinks Vincent is okay. I guess? 😆

No, really, what changed?? They were already acquaintances by this point, and he's thought Vincent was okay before, so what-?? Why did it suddenly pop up like some revelation and start talking about romantic visibility and reputations?? IS THERE SOMETHING YOU GUYS AREN'T TELLING ME?

I love how all I had to do was shout, "OH NO JAMES IS FALLING BEHIND!!" to my sister in another room, absolutely no context, and my mom who overheard was instantly like, "Are those Tumblr Sexyman contests still going?"

I guess this just shows how much my sisters and I have been going on about them for the past few weeks. 😆

Hazbin Sims 3 First Interaction Attempts:

Vincent went to the hotel to meet everyone. Charlie invited him in and talked to him. Angel and Alastor were also talking for a bit, but then Alastor saw Vincent, walked right up to him AND STARTED SLAPPING HIS FACE BACK AND FORTH FOR NO REASON

HE DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING 🤣

Great first impression.

Also, everyone was so distracted with each other that nobody noticed LUCIFER RANG THE DOORBELL AND WAS TRYING TO VISIT. He had to give up and leave. 😆

~~~Later~~

Vincent managed to invite Al over, but by the time he did, Vincent got tired and couldn't even enjoy it. Wound up falling asleep on the couch while Al watched some old black and white movie. And then he completely missed Alastor changing into swim trunks in that same room to go off and use his pool. 🤣

Valentino was the only one in the household awake at that point, so I made him go to the pool with Al. He got in there with him and I tried to make Val have a breathing contest with him, but as soon as Val got in the pool, Alastor suddenly said he was tired and had to leave.

So nobody got to hang out with Al, he just came, used their amenities, and left.

Of course it's just Vincent's luck that he would technically succeed only to miss everything. 😆

Vincent's life wish in Sims 3 is to become the CEO of a mega-corporation.

Val's life wish is to date 20 people.

And Vel's is to become a 5 star blogger.

Some other funny life wish options that popped up for me to choose from after I chose Vincent's personality traits:

-create bio-robot creatures (which I thought was great because of Shok.wav, but I didn't pick it since well, that's why he has Baxter employed 😆)

-create the best aquarium

-become the leader of the free world

-become the emperor of evil

🤣 All great, but I wanted to make him be a CEO of a mega corp and he can just build an aquarium as a hobby or whatever. Maybe do the bio-robot thing also as a hobby if possible.
