Avada Kedavra
Summary: Pam (@speedyoperarascalparty) has decided to leave Tumblr and CGW. We know the decision wasn't easy for her, but we understand that it is what's best for her. Since Pam is an original CGW creator, we will not be replacing her. We wanted to provide some closure for her character CGW style. Please don't anyone take it too seriously. 💜🧡🖤❤️💙

Genevieve approached Drake who was sitting by himself in a secluded corner of the room. His eyes were puffy and bloodshot. She silently chastised herself for wanting to laugh at the snot that was slightly dripping out of his nose. She placed her hand on his shoulder forcing him to look up at her. He grunted in acknowledgement.
Genevieve spoke softly, “Drake, I am so sorry. I know how bad this hurts…”
He held up his hand and spoke loudly. “No you don’t! You have no idea! That was my family; my wife! My children!”
She pulled back at his tone. “She was my best friend! I’ve known her much longer than you have, so don’t even give me that bullshit, Drake!”
Drake hung his head and wiped his eyes. “I’m sorry...I’m sorry. I haven't been myself since-” A lump formed in Drake’s throat preventing him from completing his sentence.
Geneveive sat next to him, placing her hand on his leg. “I know. I really do understand. And I’m here for you, Drake. Anytime you need me. As much as you don’t want to admit it, you’re like a brother to me. One that I didn’t want, but a brother nonetheless. You need someone to talk to other than those whiskey bottles.”
The rest of their friends approached them; all of their faces solemn. They offered their condolences, but everyone knew they went unheard. Drake was not in a good place. His mind drifted back to that day just a week ago.

The Walker family walked towards the Harry Potter attraction that just opened at Universal Studios in Cordonia. They had visited the Orlando, Florida theme park many times. They thought it would be fun to go to the newly opened facility in their home country.
Even though the kids were older now, they were still having a great time. Pam was grinning from ear to ear, and Drake was just enjoying the time with his family. It had been quite some time since Kennedy was willing to be seen in public with them.
Kennedy pointed to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. “Do you want to ride that, mom? For old time’s sake?”
Pam giggled. This ride had some twists and turns as well as a water feature, but it was a mild roller coaster to say the least. “Sure why not? Let’s go.”
All of a sudden Drake yelped. “Oh god, I just got stung by a bee!” His hand had begun to swell.
Pam looked at her husband with concern. “Oh dear, Drake, let’s get you to the first aid tent.”
Drake shook his head. “No, it’s ok. You guys go ahead, I’ll go by myself.” He kissed his wife’s cheek and ruffled Jackson’s hair before heading in the opposite direction.
When he arrived at the tent, there was a long line of people. There were kids with scrapes and cuts and others that looked to be heat exhausted. He let out a sigh as he thought of his family on the ride without him. After what felt like hours, it was finally Drake’s turn. The paramedic looked at his hand and pulled out a pair of tweezers to remove the stinger.
“Hey! That hurt!” Drake cried out.
The young man snorted. “Sorry, sir. Would you like a bandaid for your boo boo?”
Drake rolled his eyes. “Can I get some tylenol or something? And maybe an ice pack for the swelling?”
The young man flipped a square packet towards him. “Here’s some benadryl…” He then reached into a cooler. “...and a popsicle. Don’t operate any heavy machinery after taking that. NEXT!”
The woman behind Drake shoved him aside presenting her crying baby to the medic. He had no choice but to take the med and look for his family. As he made his way back to the ride, he noticed first responders rushing past him with their radios chattering incessantly.
When he arrived at the roller coaster, he noticed that it had been barricaded. He shoved his way to the front to see what was happening. His gut told him something wasn’t right. Then he saw three stretchers, each covered with a sheet, exit the ride. Drake pushed past the metal gate but was abruptly stopped by police officers.
One of the officers spoke to Drake sternly, “Sir, you cannot be here. There’s been an accident.”
Drake struggled against the large man. “My family, they were on that ride. Are they ok? Where are they?”
Just then, Drake’s phone rang. He dropped the phone after hearing the news from Liam. Liam had been the first notified by the authorities. All he could remember was Liam’s voice saying words like, “freak accident”, “the car catapulted off of the track”, and “Bastien will pick you up shortly”.

“Drake...Drake! Drake, are you alright?” Liam repeatedly tried to get his best friend’s attention.
Drake snapped out of his memory. “Yeah, sorry...I was just…”
Liam clapped him on the shoulder. “You don’t have to be sorry. Just know that I’m here for you, we all are. If you need some place to stay, you’re always welcome at the palace.”
Drake nodded his head. “I think I’d like that. It’s too hard to be at home...it’s too quiet.”
His eyes welled with tears once again. They were supposed to have forever, but no one said how long forever would be for them. The pain he felt losing his family was far worse than losing his father. His mother didn’t even bother to come to the funeral. Even though he knew he could count on his friends, he had never felt more alone than he did at that very moment.
Anitah and Alicia sat down on either side of Drake. Alicia handed him a newly opened bottle of whiskey. Anitah offered a glass to which Drake pushed away. He took a healthy swig from the bottle and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. The burn in his throat was a welcome sensation.
The sound of an organ filled the room as the pastor entered. He nodded sympathetically at Drake indicating that the memorial service was about to start. The group took their seats in the front row, Erin taking the seat next to Drake and holding his hand in hers. She squeezed his hand as the pastor took his place at the lectern in front of the three caskets.
“Thank you all for being here today as we say goodbye to Pamela Walker...and her beloved children.”
