Hey, so...I haven’t been active here at all, and I haven’t really explained. It’s been a while.
putting under a read more though so I don’t clog up the dash with wall of text
Basically, life has been busy, I’ve been focusing on self-care and my own mental health, and I simply don’t have the muse for Liev right now. It did come back briefly earlier this month (or was it last month?), but it’s been a while since I’ve been able to write him consistently. I really wish I could interact with everyone right now, but it hasn’t been possible for me.
But! I really don’t want to drop Liev. I still love him, I’m still proud of him and his development, I’m still learning about how to make him better, and I really love interacting with the rpc, even if it hasn’t been very active (or maybe that’s just me, since I hardly log in here anymore). So I’m moving this blog, and changing a lot about Liev, because he’s always been too flawed.
I’m not giving out the URL quite yet, since the blog still needs a lot of work, but when I’m finally ready to write Liev, I’ll be coming back, and I’ll post a promo and everything. I just don’t know when that’ll be. I’ve just been needing a fresh start, and Liev has needed a long break and a fresh start. I’ve finally learned that he’s the only blog I can handle, so I’m sorry for being notorious for making several rp blogs and then letting them die.
When I do come back, a lot will change, and I’ll probably be dropping most threads, with rare exceptions. In the meantime, I’m still open to plot and talk things on Discord (lav#3766), or you can message me at my personal @nightsquid.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, everyone - I don’t want to lose the friends I’ve made in this rpc and I don’t want to lose Liev! I just haven’t been able to enjoy it like I’ve wanted to recently. Thanks for reading.

When Liev gets excited, he grins wide and proud - although depending on the situation, it may be a nasty grin. During battle he pumps his fist in the air or raises his charger. He’ll race around the stage with more intention and gusto than usual, and take more frequent shots. Very occasionally he’ll clap his hands together, usually when he’s in conversation with someone. The only times he gets excited about something are one, when he snipes people with his charger - he takes much pride in his abilities (or at least he did in the past), and nothing beats the rush of a one-shot - or two, when he’s involved in something he has a passion for. Which usually involves the idea of Agent 3 getting what she deserves.
Much like excitement, Liev shows enthusiasm when he is either in the heat of battle or presented with the idea of Agent 3 or his family’s heads on a silver platter. Again he will grin, and go about whatever he’s doing with an odd amount of energy. This he may keep more to himself than excitement.
Liev doesn’t often cause mischief - in fact, if he ever does, I’d be surprised, since he generally takes himself very seriously. I suppose that his form of mischief can be found in the thick of battle while throwing down impeccably-timed Splat Bombs, or while taking someone unaware with a Stingray. In such cases, he tends to reveal a nasty smirk before moving on.
Cold? Psh, this was warm for the domes. Down there, you saw your breath in summer — his jacket was for nothing but show, when on the surface. Sunrise had been just under two hours ago, and as far as Franz was concerned, it was already far too warm. Deca Tower’s chime, however, barely registered to him. Living in Valley meant living to the tune of shrieks, clanks, rumbles, and bangs — this much background noise was nothing. Its openness did cause a nervous tap of his foot, though. Living in Valley also meant a significantly lesser amount of people encountered on a daily basis. Like, none. Everyone had packed and ran to Canyon. (Cowards.)
His eyes refocus on Liev, noting and filing away said note of his troubled expression. Franz may not be nearly as energetic as his boss, but it still wriggles a smile out of him: Anger was easy to manipulate. Fear and trauma was even easier. Burst had one hell of a knack for finding new recruits.
Franz towers over Liev, taller even than his boss (and she was six feet of unadulterated hate). “Yes, I’m Purri. You are…?” he invites, gesturing with the tilt of his head — his hands are rooted solid in his pockets. “I understand you wanted to meet in person to make sure this was legit. So what would you like to know?”
He hadn’t seen an Octoling in ages. It was hardly ever that She had taken him into the Valley, and even then, it was only briefly - Octarians, Liev was told, weren’t normally thrilled to see Inklings in their territory. Once Marina attained idol status, however, the enmity between the two races weakened, and now he almost wouldn’t have been surprised to see them walking around the city. Actually seeing one for the first time in person made a significant difference. And he wasn’t expecting him to be so tall.
“I’m Liev. You should know that, since your friend hacked my phone.” He grumbles, crossing his arms. They press hard against his chest as he speaks. “You said your group has information about Agent 3?”
Never did Fi mean to give off the mysterious air she knew she now carried, but when the other stepped away, she assumed that was a piece of the reason. Maybe she should ditch the cloud floating? Not many people flew around on a cloud. …Mm, later. She was too sleepy to stand right now. Especially in front of someone so possible to leave, what with his hovering hands, shoulders looking to fortify his entire body with how high they shot…. She hadn’t spooked him, had she? She was here to help, not frighten!
There was skepticism drifting throughout, but Fi’s smile sat still. “I’m Fi, and I don’t mean any harm, I promise. I just wanted to know why you were so tense-looking, Mr.. Up-tight is no way to be 24/7, or even for a little bit, in my opinion. And for me, some companionship fixes any problem I have! Would you be okay with a little chat?”
“You don’t ‘mean any harm’?” Liev’s voice wavered, but his body remained in taut position. Her voice certainly was sweet - he hadn’t heard anybody speak that gently in a long time - but there was something off here.
One hand fell to his side and the other reached up to rest on the back of his neck. “So you’re telling me that you’re some sweet human- human, or whatever- girl that just decided to waltz into Inkopolis like nothing? Where did you come from? I’ve never seen anyone like you ‘round here.”
A maps change always meant a riptide of Inklings streaming out of Deca Tower — and a ridiculously-manipulable security hazard. One such Octoling was here to prove that, with his figure masked behind an oversize Forge jacket as promised, and half his face obscured by one oversize maroon tentacle.
He glanced at the clock mounted on the tower. Any moment, now. // @coriignis.
It certainly was cold out. Tugging up the collar of his Black Inky Rider, Liev took his first step into Inkopolis Square for the day. The chiming of the Tower’s clock resounded throughout the city, indicating that he was right on time. In a matter of seconds, the space would flood with Inklings. He had limited time to find this guy.
Thankfully it wasn’t a difficult matter. There he was, standing idly in front of one of the many shopfronts - an Octarian in a large gray coat, as promised. As Liev started to approach, he felt a dull ache in his chest. He wouldn’t have been able to say that this person was anything like he pictured, yet...no, he was doing this for a reason. Nobody said he had to join anything, and every piece of information he could collect on Soda’s whereabouts would be invaluable.
He came to a stop in front of the Octoling. Hands immediately retreated into the front pockets of his jacket. “Purri, right?”
{ 10:10 PM. } — No, it’s a figure of speech.
{ 10:11 PM. } — Franz doesn’t stalk, actually. He’s good with technology, so I assume he hacked you.
{ 10:15 PM. } — Born and raised.
