Here at Interior, we are thankful all year long for America’s amazing public lands and wildlife, like this pair of handsome wild turkeys at the Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge in Alabama. While turkeys may look off-kilter – tilting their heads and staring at the sky – they’re fast. Turkeys can clock more than 12 miles per hour. Mineral Admiration by Karina Eibatova

Vienna-based artist and illustrator Karina Eibatova’s watercolor portraits depict the beauty, dimension, and organic architecture of nature. By using a soft medium, such as water to depict stone, which is hard and dense, Eibatova creates a beautiful juxtaposition between nature and art. She skillfully manages to portray each shade, delicate gradient and dimension found in minerals.
